Vanannabananna · 05/08/2020 21:03

My DD will be nearly 3 at Xmas. I found a beautiful dolls house (bargin on marketplace!) for her main present but need ideas for other things. I’d prob get her another 5 presents under £20 each. Any suggestions would be warmly welcomed.

Last Christmas I got my 3 year old DN a shopping trolley and till it was from Argos and part of the 2 for £15 offer. She also got an aqua doodle mat. Orchard games My local Aldi had some travel ones in last week for £2.99 each.

OverTheRainbow88 · 06/08/2020 06:22

My son loves those reusable stickers books, and spends ages creating scenes...
Like this one..

NOT Hungry Hippos. Too many marbles. Mine got it at 4 and has lost all the marbles. Plus they may go in the mouth of a 3 year old.
kleew1 · 06/08/2020 06:58

I seen this which I'm going to get for my 3 year old! Also recently got her hungry frogs which is a dupe of hippos. She loves it and she wouldn't play it alone so no issues re choking on the balls.

Thank you good suggestions as we already have all of these Grin

This is why I’m having such a hard time thinking of stuff! I could get her a few more bits for baby Annabel though

DD luckily doesn’t put them hungry hippos balls in her mouth! They never play with it unsupervised though.

I like the sticker books and Richard games too. She already has a trolley.

My son has the game baa baa bubbles and loves it. I think it's on offer in the entertainer at the minute. Fingerlings are also cheap in there too.

Isadora2007 · 06/08/2020 08:15

I’d get 1. A new book set

  1. Something crafty- like new playdoh or a sticker set or paint your own ceramic (hobbycraft had a fab sale on these recently) If budget around £20 a whole little box of craft stuff.
  2. Something imaginary play related- wooden Food for a toy kitchen or a drs set or dress up stuff depending on her interests.
  3. Something outdoor related- new wellies and a puddle suit, or a hula hoop and balls, or a pair of binoculars or insect tubs to go exploring and bug/bird hunting.
  4. A new cuddly toy or dressing gown or slippers or bath toys!!!

Sorry I jumped on here for ideas for my 3 year old niece... she hasn’t got an Annabelle... but this looks similar but half price

Any good? Sorry OP!!

Thank you but she has a baby Annabelle and adores it! Interactive doll might be a good shout for your niece xx

So far for my 3 yo I've got some craft bits, geomag and kinetic sand. For her birthday we bought her one of those big colour in castles from Hobbycraft (it's still hanging around 4 months later 🙄) - worth keeping an eye to see if they get reduced.

Wishihadanalgorithm · 06/08/2020 13:55

Crocodile dentist is a good game.once children have gone to bed it turns into a brillliant drinking game too!

LiquoricePickle · 06/08/2020 16:28

@Marmite27

I won't ruin this in case she responds, but I like spicy veg.

Squoon · 06/08/2020 16:36

@liquoricePickle
Me too 😉

I have a similar aged DD to you OP and she's also our second so gift ideas are really difficult. She has a thing about bugs and all insects at the moment 😬

Toolkit (screw driver, small hammer, tape measure, small saw) and some scrap wood/nails/fabric

Baking set (Tiger do them for a few quid)

Books about interesting things - eg Usborne “inside” books.
