My most appreciated gifts this year are;

Clinique Happy perfume- my fave, which I`ve not had in about 3 years-so no perfume at allXmas ShockXmas Shock[flove][flove]

A notepad with personalised message on front. (Lyrics from New Order song along the lines of me being iconic. Just a joke between me and the OH, I am not narcissistic I promise you!) a thoughtful gift.

Material gift wise...

A perfume that my 2 DS’s had saved up for with bits of their pocket money for a couple of months and then bought and wrapped for me. So kind and thoughtful and sweet of them!

A 3 night break to Paris with tickets to see the moulin rouge at the actual moulin rouge! (I’ve loved it since I was a teenager!) from my younger brother.

A turtle dove decoration from my best friend from childhood which she has the matching one of from macey’s in New York.

I feel ridiculously spoilt this year, no idea what I’ve done to deserve it all! I genuinely would have been happy with meaningful words in a card so these were all huge surprises!

My best present (for sheer thoughtfulness and originality) came from my best friend.
She snuck my much beloved , but totally knackered old boots away whilst they were in a pile of things going to the tip.
The were split, zips broken and full of holes . I literally wore them to death.

On Christmas Day, I unwrapped my resurrected boots. Back like new and good for another ten years having been to a specialist cobbler/boot maker she found on the web. Brilliant,

@Fivetillmidnight how amazing! What an amazing and thoughtful gift!

@Fivetillmidnight, I would appreciate the name if the cobbler, if that's ok?

My best gift was an Echo Dot bought specifically to remind me to take my meds and for listening to music even though my DP really doesn't like the idea of them (£25, so not expensive).

First Christmas where I didn't have to pay for my own presents.
(Both boys old enough to earn their own money)

I had such a lovely Christmas. Quiet and peaceful, surrounded by my healthy loved ones so that was the best thing!

Materially, I just love my Ugg slippers, a gorgeous and funky necklace, and a voucher for afternoon tea from a 5 star hotel I’ve been wanting to check out.

Vintage Yahtzee from EBay which reminded me of Christmas as a little girl. Got my kids off the Xbox. Yay!

One of my clients bought me some Sweaty Betty vouchers, she attends one of my classes each week and is the loveliest person, the words she wrote in my card made me tear up after DD and her BF treating me like a slave over Christmas. So nice to be appreciated.

I’ve been in counselling for two years to address childhood abuse that has had significant impact on my life (it’s relevant, I promise 😊) My husband remembered something I said about a much wanted item as a child that I never had and he bought them for me. I don’t generally bother with gifts for myself as it’s not my thing but I love these 😊

One of our DDs got us a family picture - it's a painted image of a coat rack, with all of our names underneath and even has the dogs on. It's really simple but I was quite choked when I opened it.

They were called Star Cobblers. The man who she dealt with was called Adrian.
This is their website.
www.starcobblers.co.uk/

She apparently did it all by post as lived at opposite end of the country ... and they turned it all round in 12 days.

They really are reborn boots .. I feel like I have just earned my first 'green' gold star . Could not be more thrilled.

A gorgeous leather handbag from my in-laws. Previously they (by which I really mean MIL) have given a pile of things. All appreciated but These days I get overwhelmed by a mountain of things. So the one thoughtful gift means a lot.

DP's bought me some hiking shoes which I am delighted with, and DH bought me a thermos for lunches (to go with the thermos for tea that he bought me for my birthday).

I am absolutely delighted!
