It’s Christmas......! Who’s up already?

We don’t have kids, but I love Christmas... woke up for a wee and now can’t go back to sleep... it’s 6.25am.

When we were kids we woke my parents up at stupid o clock and some years they let us get up!

We're awake. I woke up at 3 annoyed it was proper morning haha. We have a two yeat old who is "getting" Christmas for the first time so I'm just about to go get her!

Got woken up half an hour ago by the middle child. Just waiting for the others to wake up!

Me and DS are awake at the in laws he's not allowed to make any noise til they get up arrgh

Mine are virtually adults and I'm excitedly awake. They still have many little things to open. Old habits die hard.

I want going to bother with the manky chocolate coins this year but dd told me that she had to have them. It is traditional you know.

Me! Even though I'm not really doing Christmas this year. I did wish Jesus a happy birthday though!

Gonna get up for a cuppa.

I'm up as exdh is on his way from a night shift to watch the DC open their gifts.
DTD 12 is up other DTD and DS 15 are still asleep. DS 17 is with grandparents which feels strange.
Poor ex will manage about 4 hours sleep today before I drop DC off then it's an adult Christmas for me ( first in 17 years) at DP this afternoon.

Me, been awake since 3. DH and DS still fast asleep. I've got an awful cold, felt shit for days, and I'm still feeling crap so looks like it will be a lonely Christmas Day for me while my two go off to see family. Don't want to pass on this cold (especially to 97 year old nan) it's horrid. So feeling proper sorry for myself

I was awake at just after 5

I went down to make coffee at 6am.

My young men 21 & 18, are still asleep.

Last year I had to wake them up at 9, so I could see them open their presents

Me! Waiting on DD(18) getting up which will be around 7:30 - think I'll join Pink in a cuppa while I wait impatiently

I'm awake, waiting for DS3 to wake up. He's snoring away next to me - I'm tempted to give him a nudge!

Awake since 4, 3yr old that gets Christmas this year and I’m so excited for her. Also telling the family I am pregnant today so excited for that too. One day I’ll grow up

I was awake at12.30am waiting for my drunken kidults to get in from the pub and now I'm up with the puppy. Bloody knackered and struggling to find my Christmas cheer!

We are awake kids just opened stockings I’m drinking coffee in bed whilst we all watch polar express
First Christmas as single parent and kids won’t see their dad for the first xmas ever so trying to make it special for them !

Woken up by one child at 4 then another at 5 then 5.45. Not much sleep in between 🥱Made them wait till 6. They tore through their stockings now desperate to get at the tree presents. Can I go back to bed now?

I'm up, I woke up at 6 when exp arrived to watch ds open his presents. DS is still fast asleep!!!!!!

Happy Christmas! I’m up, DH wasn’t very well yesterday, opted to sleep on the sofa last night so when I woke up half an hour ago needing a wee and heard him up I came down to check on him. He’s okay thankfully, in the heavy sighing stage so definitely on the mend. DD 12 is very much still asleep, I just said to DH this is the tipping point of parenting when the parents are up on Christmas morning before the child.

I’m awake, waiting for DS who is 5 to wake up and then we’ll have to wake DD up because even Santa can’t drag a teenager from their bed!!

I had my alarm set for 6:25 so I could place the stocking outside my son’s bedroom door! So now I’m just lying awake waiting for him to wake up!

We're waiting for ours to wake. I don't think it'll be too long now, thankfully. I've been awake since about 6 as I needed the loo, typically!

DD17 will need to be woken up for presents. She's worked 4 long straight days in retail after finishing school last Friday. She's knackered and just couldn't get excited about the NORAD tracker last night.
But me, I just love it.

LP here. DD 7 woke at 5.45. I told her santa does some late drop offs and you can't get up until 6 🤦 At 6 she got her stocking, came back to bed. Then had a bit of a cry as she thought Santa might bring her back a toy she had lost.

We had a bit of a moment but I let her open her one big present early and she is busy with that now (LoL so lots of things to open).

I'm now lying on the sofa with a coffee while DD plays. DM coming at 11 for present opening and lunch so enjoying the calm before the kitchen storm.

I have been up since 5am when DH woke to go to work. Luckily for us he will only be at work for a couple of hours (and only went in as he knew they were struggling today).

All three DC still asleep.

Am very worried for a neighbour though as two ambulances just arrived, full sirens. I am laying here hoping things turn out to be ok.

I'm up here! Been awake on/off all night with excitement. DH and DS still very much asleep! Tempted to sneak down for a cuppa before madness starts but I dont want to wake DS as he did have a late night
