DH is has got me a huge, furry, heated throw. It's got 10 heat settings!

God knows dp did a 30 min smash and grab in john lewis on Sunday which is ALL his Christmas action. Could be anything. Likely to be v random. Fortunately hes a great partner in other ways.

Chocolate! I've been on a diet for 12 months and finally at target so given myself 2 weeks of eating anything and everything but I'm just craving chocolate and sweets (which I've asked for for xmas so don't want to buy them now as itll spoil it)

A kitchen aid food mixer 😆

I had mine last Wednesday, DH's (39) chemo has shrunk some of his cancer (stage 4 terminal) was completely unexpected as the type of bowel cancer he has is very hard to treat. Hopefully it will give us more time (life expectancy in August was 12 months).

I had the wish for a baby 14 years ago - she decided that she would let me eat my dinner first (she eventually arrived at 6am on 26th), which I thought was thoughtful as it was the last nice dinner I had for over 6 months (reflux baby and bf didn't mix well...)

Hoping my husband gets me the same things he does every year because I love to receive the same stuff (perfume, hourglass ambient lighting palette, just sheepskin slippers).

Literally nothing! I had a few things last week that I opened already for practicality and my partner and I do nice experiences for each other that require preplanning.
We don't center the day around presents in this household and we all have a happier time for it. The kids will get stuff on the 24th and the 26th from us and the family.

Off the Christmas topic but I’ve just ordered from Amazon - Refuge for the Chalet School - one of the fill in books. Set after Exile - my favourite part of the series.

Description
The girls and staff of the Chalet School are seeking a refuge from the growing threat of Nazism. Austria has become part of Germany and the Chalet School has had to leave the country—some members more precipitately than others. Luckily there are people in Guernsey who are waiting to welcome them as they arrive on the island. They make friends, a long-awaited wedding is celebrated and Joey and Jack set up their first house together. There is birth, and death, parting and reunion and though the school itself is in abeyance its spirit lives on. As war clouds gather everyone hopes that the Chalet School can once more open its doors to pupils and work and serve in an uncertain world.
