How exciting owlofathena, come on baby!

OvalCanvas · 23/12/2019 20:52

@owlofathena I hope you get your wish. Please try to enjoy your Christmas if you go overdue though.

OpheIiaBaIIs · 23/12/2019 20:53

A Fender amp and Stratocaster
A Welsh gold ring
Brett Anderson's new book
A Henry London watch
A Paperblanks diary

I know for sure I'll be getting a couple of those items and I'm as excited as I was when I was 5 and hoping to get a Girl's World Xmas Grin

PixieDustt · 23/12/2019 20:55

I'm really hoping my DP got the hint about a personalised calendar of my DS. I made a lot of hints!

OpheIiaBaIIs · 23/12/2019 20:55

@owlofathena Best. Present. Ever. Xmas Smile

littlecontis · 23/12/2019 20:58

Socks, I would really like some new socks!!

ThePortlyPinUp · 23/12/2019 20:59

Well I know I have a kindle fire because I bought it with the Christmas money my grandad gave me and DH has bought me a new mobile. I would really, really like some smellies, I do love Christmas for receiving loads of shower gels that are a bit fancier than my usual Poundland stuff!

Namethecat · 23/12/2019 21:00

I'm the girl that Santa forgot this year. My dh and I are not buying for each other. The other 2 people who I receive from, one sent a voucher in my Christmas card, and the other one didn't know what to buy me, so paid for my lunch today. Christmas morning I'll be opening zilch Xmas Shock

Lovemusic33 · 23/12/2019 21:21

I buy my own gifts as I’m single and family don’t ever ask me what I want (though this year i did ask my mum to buy me a new hair dryer). I have bought myself some Dr Marten sandals for the summer as they were cheaper to buy in the winter 🤣, I can’t wait to try them on and break them in around the house before summer.

MercedesDeMonteChristo · 23/12/2019 22:03

I hope that I have a book written by a historian that I like. It’s £30 so I haven’t bought it and I am going to see said writer early next year when I can get it signed.

DobbyLovesSocks · 23/12/2019 22:05

I've been a bit clinical this year and ordered my own presents as I've seen bits I've liked. DH then surprised me a few days ago when he told me he has ordered a couple of extras I know nothing about. I've been ill the last few months so he's trying to cheer me up bless him. I'm hoping it's a book I mentioned months ago

sqirrelfriends · 23/12/2019 22:08

@owlofathena that's the best gift ever. I hope he puts in an appearance soon!

Zampa · 23/12/2019 22:14

Luxe gym gear - I only ever buy practical basics and would never dream of spending £100 on leggings myself.

owlofathena · 23/12/2019 22:56

Thank you everyone. If baby isn't here I'll be happy to receive new pjs on Christmas day lol

Pascha · 23/12/2019 22:59

I've already had mine - some flowers. DH has a Toblerone in return. We don't do presents really.

Lonelykettleshed · 23/12/2019 23:01

Numbers, I hope that you've checked out the Dropbox mentioned on the Hilda Annersley thread.

Lonelykettleshed · 23/12/2019 23:02

Sorry Abbess and solid lump of comfort thread. Happily re-reading the entire series on Kindle.

GooodMythicalMorning · 23/12/2019 23:03

A tear shaped ring from Pandora. I dont know what dh has got but did try it on whilst out shopping with him.

DrMadelineMaxwell · 23/12/2019 23:08

The new short story from one of my favourite authors, who always releases one. It's been preordered and will arrive on my kindle at 00:01 on Christmas day, so that's my breakfast reading sorted for while I wait for the teens to surface.

DH has got me a DVD box set I've wanted, so that's my watching sorted.

Dsis will take me for afternoon tea, so that's some time spent with her.

And dd1 is back from uni and has been for a few weeks (due to early finish because of strikes) so having had both DDs home and getting on has been a great gift already.

Apart from that I just want everyone to be in good health this week.

LemonPrism · 23/12/2019 23:21

I would love a particular candle, some cotton PJs and a good book. I don't think I'll get them though

SkinnywannabeKBH · 23/12/2019 23:36

Slippers....I have holes all over my current slippers so a new pair is all I want lol

jcoc147 · 23/12/2019 23:43

@straysocks can you not wait until the winter premier league break to claim as he is very much needed on the pitch on Boxing Day 🤣

8Track · 23/12/2019 23:43

Slippers too I hope!

PandaG · 23/12/2019 23:46

Perfume - will buy myself after Christmas as Dad asked me to choose some and had been to the nearest city before I had chance to do so - his local shops didn't have it in. New pyjamas - I think DH will have bought these as he knows I need some. To have a pleasant evening with my Dad's female friend...I don't know her well and want to get to know her better as she seems to make Dad happy. No idea what the kids will have bought...last year DD printed and framed (Poundland or similar) a lovely photo she had taken when we were on holiday, it was a real surprise and I would love another similar.

Rosie2000 · 24/12/2019 00:00

I have bought a few things for my dcs to wrap up for me- a cook book, some books from the charity shop and some smellies. I also bought myself some perfume today as a treat. My parents aren’t doing present this year so nobody asked me what I’d like. I’m planning on buying a heated airer next week as a present to myself after a shitty year- so rock n roll Xmas Grin
