For the top of the tree what’s your choice?

Star for us, feels more traditional and more of a nod towards the Christmas story

Peony99 · 08/12/2019 20:04

Angel, here.

lazylinguist · 08/12/2019 20:05

I have a manky Sindy , like Barbie but with smaller breasts, doll that sat on my parents Christmas tree for about 20 years.
She's seen better times but she's part of my childhood and she isn't going anywhere else.

Cherryrainbow · 08/12/2019 20:09

Star

Pipandmum · 08/12/2019 20:09

Angel now, though when young I'd make a star for the tree.

Giggorata · 08/12/2019 20:10

Star with fairy on the front Smile

dementedpixie · 08/12/2019 20:11

Light up star

AuntieStella · 08/12/2019 20:12

Star at the very top.

Angel just below that (angel could probably be a fairy though, as she's female-looking in a dress, rather than being a male messenger like the Biblical ones)

justonecottonpickingminute · 08/12/2019 20:12

A Scottie Dog! Grin

BarbedBloom · 08/12/2019 20:56

Star. I'm pagan but haven't really considered anything other than what fits best on the top tbh

elQuintoConyo · 08/12/2019 20:59

Loo roll angel here, with glittertastic wings and four strands of purple wool hair. And a silver pipe cleaner halo.

Made by ds age 4. On its 4th outing this year, but he no longer has to stand on a chair to put it on the 5ft tree Sad

mumsiedarlingrevolta · 08/12/2019 21:02

@elQuintoConyo Xmas Grin
loo roll angel here as well. although her four strands of yarn hair is yellow. Yes to silver pipe cleaner halo.
DS made it at nursery. He is 23!

ShristmasChopper · 08/12/2019 21:02

Vintage Fairy. She's made if China with a plastic wand and has somehow lasted since the 70's. We found her in Mils box of Xmas recs when we cleared her house after her death. She was still in the original wrapping (torn a bit). DH said she was identical to one they had whwn he was a kid, so we reckon MIL had bought 2 of them.
Up until we found her we'd had a star for a good few years. Although when our kids were small "tooth fairy Barbie" had done a few Christmases too.

mumsiedarlingrevolta · 08/12/2019 21:02

*are yellow. NOT is yellow. I am judging myself for that lapse

Isnappedandsharted · 08/12/2019 21:04

Star and a fairy sitting on the branch below it Grin

Stompythedinosaur · 08/12/2019 21:05

We used to have a fairy, now we have a troll. I'd really like a sun as a nod to the birth of Mithras.

elp30 · 08/12/2019 21:13

I have a white dove at the top of the tree and represents "peace on earth". It's part of my family's culture.

BooFuckingHoo2 · 08/12/2019 21:15

Bow Grin

Only joking Wink an angel here, I was always desperate for a star but my mother told me it was naff Shock

LobsterQuadrille2 · 08/12/2019 21:35

Angel, although one year I came home to find a surprise addition.
