What was on your Christmas List as a kid?

Some converse style baseball boots like the Bay city rollers wore. Never got any as a kid but I live in converse now 😁

I've actually bought one for DH this year, as he revealed he was never bought one and never forgiven his mother for it either Xmas Grin

I don't remember there being that much choice when I was small, or perhaps my parents just kept me away from adverts!

Desperately wanted a pony or a dog. Bought my own pony when I was fourteen and didn't get a dog until I was an adult. Also wanted an Etch-A-Sketch and never got one of those either.

But I always loved Christmas anyway...

Another who really wanted Mr Frosty and never got it. My daughter was bought it one Christmas and it was a complete ball ache to use, so I was quite glad my parents never gave in and bought it me!

Also my little pony grooming parlour and Castle.

For all this who wanted Mr Frosty for Christmas you didn't miss much I bought one for my DD when she was a child. And
It was very disappointing. I can't remember it ever working properly.

I also remember having a home pride man toy for baking. Loved that too.

Every year I would ask for the following with no success!

-mr frosty
-a pony (I don't like horses, I have never liked horses and I'm allergic)
-post office
-doll house and furniture

Also, even though we always had cats I'd ask for a kitten (also allergic). Eventually df agreed that I could get one when I was 16, however at around age 12 a stray kitten turned up on our doorstep and we kept her. She lived a very pampered life with me for many years, but it didn't stop me asking for a kitten when I turned 16 (which I didn't get) Grin

One thing I remember asking for was a Barbie Porsche, I was so happy when I found it under the tree that I cried. I still have it in a box in the spare bedroom.

Best was when I remembered at bedtime on Christmas Eve I had forgotten to put monopoly on my Christmas letter to Santa. Parents suggested I leave an emergency note with the mince pie. The next morning it was under the tree
