@violetmartini The same happened to me. Ordered a indoor bike trainer thingy for DS birthday. He was home from uni when Hermes delivered it in huge box beautifully decorated with pictures etc .. absolutely no mistaking

what it was ! He said that he didn't look and even if he did he'd forget what he'd seen .. could be worrying when it comes to his exams !😂

Lc2006 · 23/11/2019 16:23

Harry Potter chamber of secrets illustrated edition is down from £30 to £8 on amazon

PinkDaydreams · 23/11/2019 16:32

Regarding amazon coming with no outer packaging, I think there’s a box to tick to say that you would like packaging. I recall seeing it a while ago.

smeerf · 23/11/2019 16:40

I used these threads last year and absolutely nailed Christmas! Thanks everyone. I'm stuck with ideas for SiL and BiL. They're 33, no kids, v cool and tend to have lovely things, carefully selected (no tat!). Last year I got Mahabis from TK and a Milton Brown set for him and they went down very well. Anyone seen anything that leaps to mind? Looking to spend £35ish each.

olivesandpecans · 23/11/2019 16:41

Thanks for all the great tips. I’m looking for a wireless speaker for dh. Preferably under £50 with decent sound quality and not an echo or google (dh doesn’t like them!)
Does anyone have any recommendations? Flowers

Twisique · 23/11/2019 16:43

Longtime lurked, just got a CCC alert, Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets hardback illustrated is £8 on Amazon. Lowest price ever

Tiredmummyof3 · 23/11/2019 16:50

Not sure if the Radio Times offer has been mentioned yet this year?
But I've just ordered 6 issues for £1 and it includes the Christmas issue so it's a bargain! You just cancel the subscription once you receive you first magazine!
I used buysubscriptions.co.uk - sorry haven't mastered links 😬

nocutsnobuttsnococonuts · 23/11/2019 16:51

regarding moon sand and other messy activities - cat litter trays are the best to keep it contained. we use them in the nursery I work at. you can get extra large ones too (I had one for my fat cat as he kept missing in the small tray!!) 😁

Poundland today had loads of frozen 2 merchandise. we saw the film today which was brilliant, bought the busy book and dd has been occupied for hours recreating the story 😁 now I would like the salamander as a small teddy for me dd!

Londonborncatty · 23/11/2019 17:02

oliveandpeacans would really recommend a wonderboom speaker. You can even float it in the bath! Lots of offer at the moment.

imsorryiasked · 23/11/2019 17:05

@nocutsnobuttsnococonuts this one looks cute Smile

Jacopone · 23/11/2019 17:05

I have bought nearly everyhing (thanks to all these threads I got lots of amazing ideas so it’s going to be a lavish Xmas!) but might need one more pressie. I need a black oversized T-shirt with lots of different logos (like the one Erica from The Goldbergs was wearing in one of last week’s episodes). I don’t have much hope and have no idea where to look. I don’t mind the price, in fact I’d rather it was unusual/ quirky/great quality. But you guys are magicians so perhaps someone can point me in the right direction...

Elphaba17 · 23/11/2019 17:08

Thanks for the heads up on the Harry potter book. I only ordered the first one from the previous deal(and paid postage!!!) and regretted it so I'm delighted to have now got the first two for £21 in total, makes me feel less of a bargain hunter failure Smile

BernardBlacksWineIceLolly · 23/11/2019 17:13

I bought DH a wonderboom speaker, recommendation seconded oliveandpeacans

TakeMeToYourLiar · 23/11/2019 17:19

@UrbanMage have you tried washing the condenser in your tumble dryer? That was the issue with ours

SleighbellsAndHollyberries · 23/11/2019 17:23

M&S codes gone now.

LazyDaisey · 23/11/2019 17:34

Lol chalet is selling for €159 on Amazon.de instead of £250. link

winewolfhowls · 23/11/2019 17:35

Totally random but can anyone recommend a whack a mole style game for a four year old.

Loves whack a rat at the church fayre.

When I was a kid I always pined after a whack attack but I never got one. I think it would be fun to have one but it looks like it's all electronic playmats now, are they anywhere good?

nocutsnobuttsnococonuts · 23/11/2019 17:35

Imsorryiasked thank you he is cute and could attach to the tree too! And I have a voucher for build a bear, will look in my local when I go in next week 😁

LazyDaisey · 23/11/2019 17:37

£175 on Amazon uk for the Lol chalet here if the shipping works out cheaper for you

Mistresssiggi · 23/11/2019 17:37

I hope amazon don't deliver without packaging - have a Hogwarts express coming (£47.99 - did not mean to buy this!!)

Stolenidentity · 23/11/2019 17:43

Has anyone still got Smafolk stuff to swap? I'm still pending for the FB page and wondered if it's worth having a thread? Not that I have a clue how to do one....

CatelynStark · 23/11/2019 17:47

There’s currently an Amazon Lightning Deal for a mural of a map of the world - £6.49 if you click the 10% off voucher Halloween Smile
