Baby doll and buggy for a boy?

I'm wondering if anyone can help me on my hunt for a baby doll and a buggy that's not too girly.

I think it's lovely he's taking an interest in his sisters dolls, and don't see anything wrong with a boy playing with dolls - however family think very differently and basically think I'm going to make him gay. (Not that it's an issue)

So I'm on the hunt for a doll and buggy that's a bit more "boyish" if there is such a thing out there. Any ideas?

Oh and he's 18 months

Oh seriously get over it. Toys are toys and all children can play with them whatever they look like.
Just get one that he likes 🙄🤷🏻‍♀️

Tell tour family that ( insert famous gay person) caught gay from a Barrie doll, but your sonwill probably be ok with a baby doll.

I can’t help with the buggy, have a look in the Argos catalogue?

My 3 year old loves the purple silver cross dolls pram and baby Annabelle. Chose one he likes, ignore any comments.

Seriously.
This has been done to death over the years OP.

John Lewis have basic doll buggy’s in blue and pink if that’s helpful 🤷🏻‍♀️

MyNewBearTotoro · 16/11/2019 16:15

A quick google search brings up plenty of ‘boys’ (Basically blue/ not pink) buggies and dolls. But the most important thing is surely to get him one he likes regardless of whether it’s pink, blue or any other colour?

dementedpixie · 16/11/2019 16:15

We got ds a boy baby doll and a blue buggy when he was around that age

My boys had a dolly and a buggy years ago was just a random dolly and a little pink buggy. Their dad did/does everything for them I did so not sure the issue with them having one?
I wouldn’t be giving people who say it would make them gay etc any of my time bloody idiots. Just give your kid a doll and a pram or buggy don’t think anymore about it or entertain these wombles who are feeding you nonsense

dementedpixie · 16/11/2019 16:25

A lot of the buggies seem to say not for under age 3

K4te84 · 16/11/2019 16:26

Your son role playing with dolls is him imitating what he sees and knows from him observing how adults interact with babies, the worse thing that'll happen is he'll be an awesome dad when he is older. Being gay has nothing to do with playing with dolls.

Ds had one like this

Buy him a pink doll and pram and ask your family why they don't want him to grow up to be a good dad? And try to explain they you can't catch gay but you can inherit stupid.

tunneltelevision · 16/11/2019 16:32

Thank you helpful posters, I will look into the John Lewis one that looks good.

To the other fuckers... is there any need to be so fucking rude? Christ you can't ask anything on here without someone saying it's been done to death. Right ok well someone's asked it before so that means no one can ever ask it again. Right. GTF

My husband is very old. When he was a child he had lots of cars and trains, a teddy bear, a baby doll (called Susie) and a large Golliwog. Oh, and one of those push along dogs. He's not gay or racist btw Grin

Isadora2007 · 16/11/2019 16:34

I got my grandson a lovely yellow one with rainbows and a Rubens Barn little doll with blonde curls like his. I can’t recall where the buggy is from- I googled rainbow doll buggy... it was around £10

Marmite27 · 16/11/2019 16:35

We have the dolls world early moments dolls. A boy and a girl. About £10 from amazon. Fit premature upto 3lb clothes.

£100 on a doll buggy??? 😮😮😮😮😮😮

WatchingFromTheWings · 16/11/2019 16:40

My DS had a doll and a pushchair when he was 3. He's 19 now and def not gay. My (now ex) DH was dead against it but got a good telling off from his family. He also had a toy kitchen, washing machine, ironing board and iron. Ignore your family and buy the doll!

Manhattan Toy Wee Baby Stella Sleepy Times Scent Soft Doll Set, Beige https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B01K4XLKP6/ref=cmswwrcppapiii_hFc0DbMRS6YR4

I got DS this one last Christmas, the dummy is magnetic and it's nice and soft, he uses his sisters old dolls pram similar to the John Lewis one.

SimonJT · 16/11/2019 16:55

My son has a doll he loves, shes named after the cat 🤷🏽‍♂️

I hated dolls or any girly toys as a child, I did however enjoy pulling the heads off my sisters dolls. I grew up to be a huge rugby playing homo.
