Thank you @CupoTeap for the title!

Just a reminder you can watch the thread by clicking on ‘watch this thread’ at the top of the first message. It’s much easier for everyone than so many place marking every time which can use up a fair chunk of each thread to scroll through Thanks

My 7 year old has asked for a pogo stick. I have no idea what to look for so wondered if anyone can recommend one for thisn age?

Carrie76 · 19/11/2019 22:20

@Helssjbells mine have the xiaomi 3 which doesn’t link to phones and texts. You just use the app to see sleep.

SlayingDragons · 19/11/2019 22:27

@Junobug my DS got this one when he was 8/9. He’s now 14 and still goes on it, as do his younger siblings. I don’t know if it would be too hard to manage for a 7 year old - I guess it depends on what size he is. The brand might also do a smaller/lighter one. We’ve certainly been really happy with the one we bought.

Themazeoflife · 19/11/2019 22:28

Paddington

I actually want it as a "grown up" reward chart get to fecking school on time

They have a plain one I could get.

I'm thinking about who I can get the Christmas tree one for as I really like it.

Themazeoflife · 19/11/2019 22:29

Forgot the thank you sorry Blush

Mistressiggi · 19/11/2019 22:40

Bit of a long shot, but did anyone see any deals last year on sewing machines around Black Friday? Just for myself, and I really shouldn't/couldn't spend too much, but I do want one!

whereareyousleep · 19/11/2019 22:48

@Themazeoflife try here if they haven't got anything that suitable you can request and they will cut it for you. I've ordered before and the prices are very reasonable.

UnderTheSleepingBaby · 19/11/2019 22:57

Elpheba · 19/11/2019 23:06

Not a bargain but hoping you wise mumsnetters might be able to help. My cousin is coming to the end of her first term at Kingston uni. I’d like to send her something- either a little parcel to “get her to the end” and/or a voucher- ideally for somewhere that’s special and local to Kingston that might appeal to a student but I don’t know the area at all!

My lame contribution in return is on this week’s MSE email- £5 photo canvas print including delivery (it’s the 20 x 30 cm one approx A4 size) www.my-picture.co.uk/free-deal/?utm_source=cj.com&utm_campaign=Affiliate_Gutschein_mse-bf&utm_medium=Affiliate&iaid=2019111923054091852394b16d2f87 with code MPFREEQ4

HauntedmessFrogbeaver · 19/11/2019 23:09

Jo Malone has four free miniatures if you spend over £120.

chillimice · 19/11/2019 23:09

Thanks @LeatherPouffe for the heads up about mountain warehouse. I also just found a code for 20% off 'MIB19' for an even more bargainous shop. They still have giant inflatables in the clearance section..

MeanMrMustardSeed · 19/11/2019 23:20

Thank you for the Gillette gift set link and code!

MrsLem · 19/11/2019 23:26

@Mistressiggi sign up for newsletters at GUR Sewing. They had a code last weekend and I expect they'll do it next weekend too. When I bought my machine from them I phoned them up to discuss it and they emailed me a money off code. So might be worth phoning up and asking about any discounts they might have available. It was also next day courier delivery

Maranello · 19/11/2019 23:47

@ScoobySnacker try JD Sports for girls' Nike leggings, they have some reduced to £15. Free delivery if you order via the app

Mistressiggi · 19/11/2019 23:56

Thanks so much MrsLem Smile

noodledoodler · 20/11/2019 00:11

@chillimice thanks for the mountain warehouse code, I got the 20% plus 5% topcashback and stacked that with 5% cashback from current account Smile, and, i actually bought something for myself this time!!!

PhannyMcNee · 20/11/2019 00:21

Please could someone remind of the EarPods to get from either EBay or Amazon that work with iPhones? They ranged in price from £12 to £18 and were T12 or something similar.

Thank you Smile

wibdib · 20/11/2019 00:24

Don't think I've seen it here and it's not really a present but it is a bargain!

The national lottery is celebrating 25 years of operating so as a thank you over the next few weeks lots of heritage places that have been helped are throwing open their doors for free - all you have to do is show a lottery ticket. Lots of national trust type places, national heritage, royal horticulturanl society ones, and more available, youjust need to show a lottery ticket to enter.

All the details here: www.lotterygoodcauses.org.uk/projects/thanks-to-you

bettythebuilder · 20/11/2019 00:56

Thanks @wibdib, there's a National Trust place on the list near me that I'd love to visit!
Thanks also @chillimice for the Mountain Warehouse code, I was just having a browse at the clearance stuff and saw a micro towelling travel towel in the sale at £7.99 so £6.39 with the discount, I've got it for teen dd (who will be 17 on Christmas Day... so every saving is very much appreciated to keep costs down Xmas Grin )
Actually, just thought I'd rather like one myself for my faffing about on a woggle aquacise class so will have to hint to dh!

thaegumathteth · 20/11/2019 01:31

&@PhannyMcNee I think they were I19 TWS? But that's just my memory....

Does anyone have a SWITCH? I'm wondering if it would be a good family present for us all - dh and I and ds (13) and dd (9). Ds obsessed with PS4 and dd v rarely plays on old ps3. Any advice?

ToTheRegimentIWishIWasThere · 20/11/2019 03:25

Bungee Bouncer £15.50 Junobug I got this one a couple of years ago for my then just turned 8yo nephew and it went down well. Not quite a pogo stick but same principle and possibly easier to manage at first.

ToTheRegimentIWishIWasThere · 20/11/2019 03:44
