wildhairdontcare · 13/11/2019 12:04

Currently sat in Sainsbury's cafe with a cup of tea having spent my nectar vouchers.

I got:
Pyjamas for me 18
Pyjamas for DD 15
Christmas top for me 9.50
Christmas novel 2.99
2 x LOL's for other DD 22
A flask for DS to take soup to school 18
Play doh for DN 6
Christmas crackers 10
It cost me £1.49 in cash!

Yes a bargain but can only double to £100 of points this year so not as good a haul as last year.

It's only been once a year for a while now, I think. It's in until 19th Nov.

I bought booze. And that's it!

Nectar double up... what did you get?
SunsetBoulevard3 · 14/11/2019 17:56

I don't understand . How do you double up the points?

Exp1etiveDeLighted · 14/11/2019 18:32

Sunset have you got the Nectar app? If not, download it, log in with your card details and its all on the front screen. You will have to scan your phone at the till.

TheFlis12345 · 14/11/2019 19:05

@wildhairdontcare Thank you! That’s really helpful. Will tot up as we go round then convert our points on the app.

HappyHedgehog247 · 14/11/2019 19:08

I’d been saving to get £200 worth but it’s only £100 this year. I wonder if I can transfer points to partner. Next year we will spread the load!

Blankiefan · 14/11/2019 23:02

DH had a bajillion nectar points we never use. Can you spend the double points online or only in-store?

blue25 · 14/11/2019 23:09

£100 worth of wine for us

Exp1etiveDeLighted · 14/11/2019 23:32

You can only spend them in store, they are only for the non-food stuff apart from TTD wines.

SunsetBoulevard3 · 15/11/2019 15:21

@Exp thanks I will get the app. Have never heard of this.

popcorndiva · 15/11/2019 15:27

Set of knives and children's books and duplo. Voucher didn't scan on self checkout ..apparently it's a common problem so assistant had to override it

woodhill · 15/11/2019 15:53

I want to buy some things but can you do it instantly in store if you have the app.

I don't really want to buy a voucher and then find the things I want are not in stock

NoWordForFluffy · 15/11/2019 18:39

Yes, that works, @woodhill.

woodhill · 15/11/2019 19:59

Thanks

Exp1etiveDeLighted · 16/11/2019 13:21

Yes, I went in this morning, got a trolley, scanned as I shopped to keep track of the total then downloaded my voucher before paying at the smartshop till. The staff are very helpful if you get stuck.

Got the Pokemon game, a book and six bottles of wine for Christmas.

woodhill · 16/11/2019 14:01

Yes very good.got bedding and vests for dh

TheFlis12345 · 17/11/2019 19:38

We had £150 between us. Stocked up on port and wine. Also got some tea towels and a few Christmas bits including wrapping paper. I wish it was cleaer in store what was covered as I would have got some toiletries but couldn't work out what was included and what wasn't, the lists they supplied are quite vague.

crustycrab · 18/11/2019 13:24

@TheFlis12345 toiletries aren't included. Cosmetics are

I8toys · 18/11/2019 13:27

Xbox game for ds2
Soundbar for DS1

TheFlis12345 · 18/11/2019 14:16

@crustycrab ‘Skincare’ is included but there is no information as to what this covers. Face creams? Cleanser? Body lotion? Hand cream? Shower gel? You can argue that all of them fall under that category. Staff in store didn’t know either and said I would just have to try putting stuff through the till and see but I couldn’t be bothered with the hassle so just got more wine!
