Whisky & gin Grin

Mrsducky88 · 02/11/2019 17:10

Some nice dried chillis and the new Meera Sohda cookbook. Not hugely exciting but it’s what he wants

LeekMunchingSheepShagger · 02/11/2019 17:11

Watching for inspiration. I find him so difficult to buy for and usually end up resorting to whisky.

Daftasabroom · 02/11/2019 17:12

An Airfix kit!

Rubytinsleslippers · 02/11/2019 17:12

Struggling for ideas too..maybe a nice picture of the GC? In a nice frame?

OublietteBravo · 02/11/2019 17:14

I got my dad the Led by Donkeys book. I’ll probably also get him some nice coffee. I don’t think he actually wants exciting/unusual presents.

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 02/11/2019 18:28

I get mine single malt whisky and a book every year - it's a combo that seems to work!

Mummyilovejokes1 · 02/11/2019 18:41

Personalised glasses cloth (with the kids photo)
Personalised mug with a photo he loves from our recent holiday
Car boot protector

Zip up hoody from a charity that he supports

Last year i brought him a box of new and different types of beers that he hadn't tried before from a brewery in London, the box included a beer glass and some bar snacks. That went down really well.

Impatientwino · 02/11/2019 18:54

It was my dad's birthday last month and I made him up a meat hamper from our local butcher - 2 types of steak, some sausages, bacon, pork chop, lamb steak and a couple of sauce things they sell - put in a couple of field mushrooms and a beef tomato!

Looked lovely and he was so pleased!

Usually he gets socks, wine and tolberone!

lancslass17 · 02/11/2019 18:58

FrankenCat · 02/11/2019 19:46

Fuck all because he's a wanker.
I will however send him a card because I'm a better person than him.

ladybug92 · 02/11/2019 19:50

Contigo cup and Infinity pegs, both things help him to leave less of a footprint on our planet and he likes that.

Mine is impossible to buy for, I usually get him things like:
Wine
Gardening stuff
Hamper food, like nuts and tea
Soap
Picture of my DC
Or take my parents out for a nice meal instead of a gift.

econowifey · 02/11/2019 20:20

Watching too as he's so difficult. Just got toblerone so far.
