my nephew is 7, and so far he is getting:

a pair of heelys (the type with 2 wheels, they do cost around £50 new so have a look on ebay or gumtree, I wouldn't get a pair for a 6 yo but a 7/8 yo should be fine)

an explorers kit

a moshi monsters membership

a teeter popper

Our seven year old is having a multi sports Xmas. He is getting a basketball net stand thing, a set of indoor parallel bars (for his gymnastics and upper body conditioning) and an archery set- all from decathlon.
He is also getting a new football strip and some sports clothing from Adidas. A snorkel and new swimwear. And probably an Xbox game as well.

My 8 and 7 year old are getting new bikes, helmets, lego sets, art and craft sets, board games. That's all I've managed to think of so far. They've yet to write their lists but I know bikes and lego will be on it.

Bluewavescrashing · 23/10/2019 11:14

Mainly lego!

KanelbulleKing · 23/10/2019 11:17

A nintendo switch light so that I can regain custody of my phone.

Pascha · 23/10/2019 11:19

Our 6 and 9yr old boys will be sharing a Nintendo switch. Thats the budget blown though so just stocking fillers and maybe a small Lego set each.

billandbenflowerpotmen1 · 23/10/2019 11:33

6 year old nephew is getting a Nintendo switch with a mario game

PhantomErik · 23/10/2019 11:36

Jurassic World dinosaurs
JW lego
Aquaman lego set & toys
Dinosaur duvet set
Mashers
Drawing pad & pencils

Other ideas:
Nat Geo subscription
Gravitrax
Dressing up costume

PumpkinKing · 23/10/2019 11:44

So far 8yr old DS is getting:

Fortnite Battle Bus
David Walliams book
Minecraft onesie
IQ Puzzler game

And after that I'm pretty stumped. He got a Nintendo Switch last year but he already has lots of games for it.

ThrilledToTiddlyBits · 23/10/2019 11:49

Jurassic World Lego (he wants the Blue set with the helicopter)
Games for his switch (Mario Kart 8 I think, hoping it comes down in price, he's wanted it since he got his switch last year but it's one of the most expensive games out)
Football kit

His birthday is in December so need to think of some more bits. For once his older brother has a list as long as my arm, usually the younger one is easier!

banskuwansku · 23/10/2019 11:54

Ds9 got last Xmas Star Wars Lego and hand held arcade game thingy.

Figgygal · 23/10/2019 12:38

My eldest is 8 just before Christmas I am refusing to buy him toys this year just to satisfy the Santa requirement as he doesn't play with toys he doesn't look at toys the ones we did buy him last year weren't looked at again within a week

He is football mad has multiple kits and balls will get every annual going

He wants a Nintendo switch he only got a tablet last Christmas as his behaviour around the use of electronic devices is so extreme we limit it very much and there's just no way we can give him one unfortunately

His three-year-old brother on the other hand I could list off 20 30 things easily but really struggling with the older one

DelurkingAJ · 23/10/2019 14:07

Lego
A bike and the accessories

Just had his 7th birthday and he received Lego (space Lego is suddenly all the rage), several science sets, Operation (the game), 3D globe jigsaw, Knex.

ThumbWitchesAbroad · 23/10/2019 14:13

Just-turned-7 DS2 has had Harry Potter Lego for his birthday, plus some JW dinosaurs, a small JW Lego kit, books, play-dough (the boy loves his play-dough!), Toy Story 4 and Aladdin DVDs, a HTTYD light fury dragon and a beyblade he wanted.

For Christmas he'll be getting junior Pictionary, more Lego, and a new bike, plus sundry other bits and pieces.

My just 9yo DS is having:

A Nintendo Switch + games as we've just started doing a lot of travelling for his sport.
A new sail (I realise that's v specific- but sports kit to generalise).
A 'swimzi'
A surfing lesson at The Wave

reefedsail · 23/10/2019 20:24

We are also looking out for an awesome new board game- but that will be a family gift.

Suggestions:
