@ateallthecake it's multiplayer but can also be used in single player. It comes with 2 controllers but you can buy extra if needed. Most games need just one controller each, but some require two controllers per person. Just connect the Switch to your TV and they can play together.

Love a thread like this I totally steal all of the ideas! In addition to the ideas I have stolen from here I am also getting:

  • Joke book
  • Spider-Man swimming towel
  • bedside light
  • 2-wheeled scooter
  • stuff to change the colour of the bath

Thanks everyone!!! My problem is the same as a pp:

And after that I'm pretty stumped. He got a Nintendo Switch last year but he already has lots of games for it.

I've just remembered they want tennis rackets and balls.

Comic subscription would be a good one. They love the beano!!

Fimo! I didn't know that existed still!!! They would love that!!!

Junior Pictionary a good idea too!!

Osborne young readers set

Flash costume
Craft bits
Game for xbox

Our 7 year old has just been given BoomTrix Mulitball Pack for his birthday and it’s been a great hit. Argos has it at its lowest price at £23 and I highly recommend!

Ooh that boomtrix thing looks fun, I might get it for my nephew!

PhantomErik · 24/10/2019 16:15

Ooh love the look of that Boomtrix!

DS is 7. He's getting;

Lego Ninjago Fire Fang set (present from Santa)
Lego Hidden Side bus set (main present from us)
Lego Creator underwater robot set
2 small Lego Movie 2 sets
Imaginext expanding Batcave (2nd hand)
Box set of Horrible Science books

He's also getting a Scooby Doo playset (2nd hand - such a good price I couldn't resist!!) but that's a shared present with his sister.

Boontrix looks awesome! Amazon have it for the same price as argos too. Trying to decide which child (7 or 11) would like it more?!

MeanMrMustardSeed · 25/10/2019 12:26

So pleased you’re all getting the Boomtrix love. It was my parents who got it - I’ve never seen it before! They spotted it in an independent toy shop, which is a great place to see new things, I think.
I would go with the 7 year old I think, although both ages would enjoy it.

Another one here thinking Boomtrix might go down well with mine. He loves his marbles but is getting a bit bored with his marble run.
