I’ll start, I have 3, one in the conservatory, one in the living room and one in our bedroom. All small, 2 or 3 feet.

None. It's October.

Ninkaninus · 09/10/2019 12:19

@MiniMum97

And this is the Christmas topic.

If you don’t want to think about Christmas yet, you can hide this topic. Xmas Smile

2 x 5ft artificial trees, 1 in the lounge and 1 in the kitchen diner plus a long pre lit garland down the stairs bannister and decorated with loads of vintage style wooden ornaments. I prefer the garland to the trees!

I also have a small pre lot wooden and gold glitter tree that I bought from Habitat about 20 years ago, that goes on the landing windowsill.

Then have a spare 3ft tree that I may find a home for either in our bedroom or my home office.

I love that I’m not the only one to have multiple trees. My husband probably thinks I’m bonkers but he humours me, bless him.

Oh I miss my stairs and balustrade I used to dress it so beautifully. It’s really the only thing I miss about having a house.

WellTidy · 09/10/2019 13:33

Four.

One in the playroom, which is where we spend the most time. Artificial. I love it, white and silver theme. About 6 feet or so.

One in the hall, which the DC decorate and is garish and very home made. Real. Fab. Usually about 4 feet.

One on the porch, real, about 2 feet. Very minimal, pretty lights. Usually buy complete with lights in Waitrose in the run up to Christmas.

One in the sitting room, which is made of pale driftwood, and I put felt decorations that my mum made on it. Only about 18 inches high. It is perfect.

Just had quite radical renovations done and the builder was bemused by my insistence on planning the structural alterations round where the Christmas tree(s) would go (not to mention the installation of outside power sockets front and back for Christmas lights). Grin

So many pretty Christmas trees, makes me wish I had space for more!

4 altogether

1 for the lounge - may be a real 7 - 8' one this year as old one fell apart.

3' trees in each the dcs bedrooms.

youngestisapsycho · 09/10/2019 14:26

I'd love to have the extra room for lots of them! We are away for Christmas this year so no decorations going up and the tree is staying in the loft Sad

Buddyelf · 09/10/2019 14:35
  1. We have a real one in the living room, normally around 9ft as we have high ceilings and it looks great. I have a fake 6ft one in the play room. Love Christmas!
lazylinguist · 09/10/2019 16:08

One, always a real one, used to be in the living room until dh put a (second) mahoosive fish tank in there Angry. It now goes in the hall. Could be interesting this year, as we have a 6 month old kitten who climbs and shreds everything.

Allthepinkunicorns · 09/10/2019 17:14

We have 3, one goes by the bay window in our living room, and that is our main tree. Another small tree goes in ds room. We have a real Christmas tree which I have grown in a big pot and I put that outside by the front door with fairy lights on. I might also get a small potted one for the kitchen this year.

MrsElf · 09/10/2019 18:50

I have upstairs (6 foot fake) and downstairs (8 foot real and 1 foot real potted) trees, three mini trees outside (1,2,3 feet, all with baubles and lights). The fish have a Christmas tree in their tank.
I ‘help’ my Christmas ambivalent friend too - 2 x 4 foot outside trees and an indoor 5 foot tree. Last year I also decorated a 4 foot tree for my colleague. I probably need to stop buying Christmas tree decorations...
but can’t see that happening to be honest

MrsElf · 09/10/2019 18:50

When I had mice, they also had teeny trees every year, decorated with edibles but not lights. Hours of entertainment!

Bohemond · 09/10/2019 18:52

We live next to and walk daily in a fantastic Christmas tree farm in Somerset so we have loads Grin

AbsolCatly · 09/10/2019 19:03

1 7' in the living room
1 6' in the dining room
1 3' in the kids playroom
1 3' on my desk at work
2 8" tinsel ones for the older DCs bedrooms
1 felt wall hanging one for youngest DC

Garden laid out wrong to have one outside without DH sacrificing his lawn but am waiting for the acer to grow big enough to decorate

I may get one of the bare branch ones this year for the kitchen (and have it up all year with changing decs)

MrsElf · 09/10/2019 19:06

See I think MrsFezziwig has her priorities right!

Ninkaninus · 09/10/2019 19:34

The house we own has a lovely bay window and a beautiful old staircase. Someday we’ll actually live in it ourselves and then I shall fill it with the most poncetastic decorations! I already know what I’m going to do for my scheme when we spend our first Christmas there... Xmas Grin

Longbarn5 · 09/10/2019 21:57

3, 7 foot green in the lounge (and boy is it heavy to get out of the loft!,). One green six foot pencil in the hall and one green 5 ft standing on small table in dining room

Snausage · 10/10/2019 15:07

Historically, just the one (5ft, real) as we are in a 2 bed flat. However, we're moving to a much bigger house in less than a fortnight (!) and I'm already planning my trees: a real 7ft in the living room, real 4ft in the porch, real 6ft in the snug. I'm also hoping to find a couple of potted ones, so will have one in the kitchen and another in the playroom. I am SO EXCITED!

Ninkaninus · 10/10/2019 17:32

When my girls were little they had one in their bedroom as well, which they’d decorate by themselves.

JeffreyJefferson · 19/10/2019 15:33

9

10ft in the lounge
10ft in the kitchen diner
10ft in the dining room
15ft in the entrance hallway
6ft in 4 bedrooms
oh and two either side of the front door.

Sipperskipper · 19/10/2019 15:38

3 - one big one in lounge, and one little potted one in the hall and playroom on the side tables. All real ones.

BeyondMyWits · 19/10/2019 15:39

just the one. (Mrs Wembley)
