Thankyou

On the bargain thread some people were told this week coming and others the week after that. Imminently by the sound of it!

DanceDanceDance80 · 14/09/2019 19:46

Ahh... thankyou

Can anyone remind me... if I spent £150 is it £30 off as an example? Can't remember how it worked last year!

NoWordForFluffy · 14/09/2019 21:16

I think it only goes up to £100, so you'd need to split your purchases.

nickdrakeslovechild · 14/09/2019 21:17

The assistant in Smyths told me yesterday that it starts next week.

Mindfull321 · 14/09/2019 21:22

Yes I seem to remember a bit of an incident at the checkout last year where I had to split the transactions!

DanceDanceDance80 · 14/09/2019 21:47

At my local smyths i didn't have to split items and I spent over 400....

Kissmycousinkate · 15/09/2019 07:08

Would it be on vouchers too?

LorelaiRoryEmily · 15/09/2019 15:32

At my local smyths they wouldn't allow me to split my shopping and I had €400 worth. I'm in Ireland(Republic) and the girl actually rolled her eyes and gave a huge sigh when I asked.

I'll be spending my money elsewhere this Christmas!

CantSleepClownsWillEatMe · 15/09/2019 16:01

@LorelaiRoryEmily and others re issues with "splitting" purchases to get best value, Smyths do free delivery usually over €30/£25 so it can work out cheaper and less time consuming to just do two or three online orders.

NoWordForFluffy · 15/09/2019 16:26

Isn't the Smyths' discount in-store only? Or has it progressed online now?

I'd just go round the shop a few times if necessary! 😂

Barbarara · 15/09/2019 18:07

I didn’t have to split. I think I had about €300 (in Ireland)

Newtothis2017 · 15/09/2019 19:17

I didn't have to split it and spent about €400. In Dublin

LorelaiRoryEmily · 15/09/2019 21:59

I obviously just got a miserable bitch at the till!!

ballsdeep · 15/09/2019 22:00

It's in store only. You can't even click and collect it and still have the item.

22Giraffes · 15/09/2019 23:39

I need to pick up a gaming chair and an Xbox controller from there, can't remember the t's & c's but I'm guessing both are excluded from the offer? Sad

SleepyPaws · 16/09/2019 09:54

@22Giraffes the flyer from last year just says it excludes video games and consoles so you may be ok. Keeping my fingers crossed as I'd like to get a wireless headset for my DS.

I also didn't have to split purchases last year.

22Giraffes · 16/09/2019 10:12

@SleepyPaws great thank you I will keep my fingers crossed for us both!

Bogiesaremyonlyfriend · 16/09/2019 11:06

Hi does anyone know if this is in this week?? Can't see anything online and don't have a shop close by to check! Thanks

PinkJam · 16/09/2019 11:28

@Bogiesaremyonlyfriend I’d love to know as well! Even if in Store only I would have thought they would have put an advert on the website Confused

Barbarara · 16/09/2019 11:37

IIRC they only announce it a day or maybe two before. Are you signed up to the emails?

Bogiesaremyonlyfriend · 16/09/2019 13:27

Yeah I would have thought so. I think I've signed up but not seen anything. Maybe that means it's not on yet!!

Mindfull321 · 16/09/2019 14:22

Popped into my local store today and they didn't even have the Christmas catalogue. Doesn't this come out just before the offer begins?

Shame the 20% off days have gone :( worked out much easier at the checkout!

PinkJam · 16/09/2019 15:36

I’ve had the new catalogue delivered today but I can’t see anything in there about the offer.

Teaandbiscuits88 · 16/09/2019 17:45

They’ve just put on Facebook that the catalogue will be in store on Friday so I would assume it’ll be shortly after that...
