I have just one item on my list. A box of ferrero rocher chocolate. Grin

What do you buy yourselves?

Because it’s my first Christmas as a divorced woman (yay!!!! No, seriously, yay!) I will mark the occasion by buying myself a pair of earrings.

I bought myself a watch when we split up, like, a really nice watch. 😂

I love old hollywood films, ones starring carey grant, humphrey Bogart, audrey hepburn etc. So anything to add to the collection is always appreciated.

I really really want these boots. I don't think I'll be getting them though!

I would have liked a Californian Guinea-Pig (I used to keep guineas but never had a Callie)

Nice jumper . I'd say Cashmere but I'm not careful enough .

SymphonyofShadows · 07/09/2019 07:45

New tartan Dr Martens. I’m going to hold my nerve and wait for the sales though.

CroissantsAtDawn · 08/09/2019 20:28

Some nice photo frames (I have no time to look for them myself)

A nice soft blanket

@Justonedayatatime11

I got a similar pair of F&F boots (but without the heel) last Christmas and, if it's any consolation, I hardly ever wear them. They are suede so I'm paranoid about them marking, and they are very snug on the leg (and my legs are slim) and just aren't that easy to wear. Perfect my Joules Chelsea boots Confused

@Orangecake123

You are a cheap date! My husband would love you!

My list is endless but I think I'd like a bike so we can go on family bike rides (is this some romantic idea and in reality it would go into the garage and never see the light of day?!)

aaf90 · 08/09/2019 20:57

New pjs !!

MadHouseUpNorth · 08/09/2019 20:57

A house full of friends and family and peace in the world!

BikeRunSki · 08/09/2019 21:00

Cheese club subscription, but without anything goaty.

Fishcakey · 08/09/2019 21:00

World peace?!

Only joking. Er.... books, some perfume maybe. It's so hard to think of things, I really struggle.

missmouse101 · 08/09/2019 21:01

I don't buy myself presents. If I need something I usually get it at the time. Presents seem very self indulgent. Hmm

AnnaNimmity · 08/09/2019 21:01

Hopfeully a break away (I'm childfree this year) and a lovely coffee machine. That's the plan anyway.

Other than that, a clean house, a nice cup of coffee and a run in the winter sun will do me fine.

PoppingOneOutIn2020 · 08/09/2019 21:05

Money.

I start maternity from the 27th December and would like to put some emergency money away. DP does the saving, I pay half the household bills with my salary. But I've suddenly felt really shite that I havent managed to save any money myself. DP does earn a fair bit more than I do so I cant really afford to save. I highly about get by on my own salary. DP has the disposable income we use for nice things and doing the nursery and buying baby bits.

I just wish I had a decent enough job that meant I could save. I've always been jealous of the really good money savers.

LifeOfBox · 08/09/2019 21:09

My parents always give me a generous amount of cash. I usually buy myself a piece of jewellery or one item, painting type thing with it that I can look at and think it came from them.

ReggaetonLente · 08/09/2019 21:10

I was talking to DH about this today. I would like a voucher for a massage, some new Lucy & Yak dungarees, and an engraved locket I can put a photo of DD in.

TheGonnagle · 08/09/2019 21:11

We’re buying each other a flight for the summer holidays.

GrowThroughWhatYouGoThrough · 08/09/2019 21:12

A lumie alarm clock

CharminglyGawky · 08/09/2019 21:12

I've already bought mine from DH Blush I did ask him if he minded but he is shit at presents and when I try to get him to be less shit he panics and I end up a bit disappointed but still thanking him nicely. Whilst I see buying thoughtful presents for people as a show of love he does not and he shows love in other ways so I buy myself something I want but wouldn't normally buy and everyone is happy.

I'm getting a Spode Christmas dinner service with Christmas trees on it.

I also want whatever this years Lego Christmas village set is and I might be getting an oven shelf from my dad (family joke and we actually need one anyway).

Whitejasmine · 08/09/2019 21:16

A day off. I’m seriously considering faking Illness in the run up and then staying in bed all day. With a large family (who do eff all to help) it’s just a big stress for me tbh.

madcatladyforever · 08/09/2019 21:17

I want to be bloody left alone for shitmas and not have to spend shit loads of money or go and see people I don't like or wear novelty earrings at work.
