I have just one item on my list. A box of ferrero rocher chocolate. Grin

What do you buy yourselves?

I want a nice watch. Doesn't have to cost the earth but needs to be a metal strap and at least 5atm water resistant.

I've asked for the last two birthdays/Christmases. This is the last chance else I'll buy it myself in the January sales!

SunshineAngel · 08/09/2019 22:04

My partner and I have stopped buying each other things, as we came to the conclusion we were spending too much money on things we didn't really need, just for the sake of getting things. So, we instead go halves on something we both want - we got an iPad last year which we both love, and this year we hope for an electric piano. We're both musicians and play a little, but would love to learn to play properly (I can play by ear quite well, but can't read bass clef fluently).

I prefer doing that. If there's something I want, or he wants, we can ask our parents, as they always like to buy us things.

howelllikethewind · 08/09/2019 22:06

Ooh I’d like a picnic hamper

Deemail · 08/09/2019 22:10

Two things, but I'll probably have forgotten them by the time Christmas arrives. A hot tools hair curler and a trip to a boutique in newbridge (Ireland) called vanityfair with €€ to spend. In fairness I may get the second without reminding as dh and dd1 both tried to get me to go recently.

EmmiJay · 08/09/2019 22:13

A signet ring

AsahiGo · 09/09/2019 15:13

It's my first proper Christmas with my husband and kids; as in no other relatives coming round. So all I really want is the day to just be chilled and nice.
And also for our new pooch to be settled in by then.

snowmanshoes · 09/09/2019 16:46

Would love a Tiffany necklace but would be happy with a nice pair of block heel boots

Loopytiles · 09/09/2019 16:49

DH to do all the buying, wrapping, organising, shopping and cooking!

Aroundtheworldin80moves · 09/09/2019 16:53

Lego Treehouse
Some other Lego
More Lego

(And Lego Hogwarts castle which I know I won't get)

We may have a Lego addiction in this house.

BadHairDyeDay · 09/09/2019 16:58

A new fitbit and a gravity blanket please. Thanks for asking.

thaegumathteth · 09/09/2019 17:09

A ring byMama Tigerlily

Bunnylady53 · 09/09/2019 17:12

Haven’t really thought about it! Possibly some perfume ( I smelt Alien on a customer at work & it was amazing), although I may have enough Boots Advantage points by then. A massage/ beauty treatments voucher otherwise I won’t get round to booking it. Really posh writing paper & envelopes. Chocolate! The rest of Poldark on dvd & The Greatest Showman. Something to play music in the car. Charging mobile phone case. I also need an extra oven shelf but before Dec 25th!

MsSquiz · 09/09/2019 17:16

Is really like DD to arrive on her due date (or a little earlier) so I can enjoy Christmas lunch and a good glass of fizz! She's due on 19th December

Failing that, I'd like comfy but lovely clothes or a voucher for a massage

If I was really pushing my luck, I'd also throw in a gorgeous Gucci bag I've see, or a new pair of Louboutons!

moonpiggle · 09/09/2019 17:57

Lazy Oaf Doc Martens.

Veronicat · 09/09/2019 18:02

An original painting by Philip Raskin. I've wanted one for a couple of years now. I can dream!

Dinosauratemydaffodils · 09/09/2019 18:07

A big box of books, some turkish delight and the time to read/eat in peace.

I'll get the first two no problems, not so sure about the third.

DragonNoodleCake · 09/09/2019 18:16

A sexy funny intelligent FWB

mumofthree74 · 09/09/2019 20:22

@DragonNoodleCake I've been asking my DH for one for several years now Wink

MrsElf · 10/09/2019 10:11

What do I really want?
A painting and some tree decorations from my small Dnephew (7).
A lovely family day; midnight carols, traditional Christmas film with mum before anyone else awake, dog walk on the beach, everyone round to DPs for mum’s fabulous Christmas dinner, a nap, booze and nibbles and games...
What will I buy myself?
A lush Christmas bath bomb
Some craft stuff for the wreaths and garlands I will probably not make this year again
A new jumper or three
A new bauble or thirty
Christmas socks
Tea and cake, and an indulgent meal (annual shopping/see the lights trip)

elQuintoConyo · 10/09/2019 10:20

Margaret Atwood's new book The Testament, a follow up of The Handmaid's Tale.

Delicate silver necklace.

DM boots - preferably cherry red.

1 metre Toblerone Grin

AnnaNimmity · 10/09/2019 11:14

can't wait to read that @elQuintoConyo.

Greyhound22 · 10/09/2019 11:22

I want some Jo Malone

thenewaveragebear1983 · 10/09/2019 11:25

A coffee maker/espresso steam press and a milk frother

BarkandCheese · 10/09/2019 11:30

A pair of wireless headphones. Not AirPods, an over the head pair which I can't easily lose. They don't need to be a swanky brand, just decent and reliable.

naturistmum · 10/09/2019 11:33

A Philips Lumea - I have visions of silky smooth hair free legs and arms.
