I just need to buy 1 more thing for DD1, chocolate coins and a card for my Mum & Dad
Need to finish wrapping which I’m hoping to get done today
Then I need to do the food shop at weekend
And that’s it! Feeling rather organised Xmas Grin

What’s everyone still got in their to do list?

Pretty much everything! Been working and visiting my Mum in hospital daily and haven't had the energy to get into the Christmas spririt yet.
Adults will get a token bottle of wine, etc and I have managed to buy for the only child in the family.

DH can do a food shop at the weekend.

Justmuddlingalong · 18/12/2018 10:37

Wash the windows, drop off 1 more load of parcels and then pack. DP and I are buggering off on a European city break and leaving everyone to it. Wink

Monkeybunkey · 18/12/2018 10:39

Pretty much everything! I've got a couple of days off later this week, so will blitz the house, make up beds (I'm hosting this year) and buy the last few gifts (done most shopping online this year). Friday night is the big food shop as I'm working on Saturday. By Sunday, I'll be in the pub, all being well!

Honeyroar · 18/12/2018 10:45

I'm buying our Xmas veg today and all the animal feed to last us into the New Year. Then I've got to wrap presents.

Aside from that I've got to fly to San Francisco and back, but I need a couple of bits from there to add to presents, so it's ok.

Mainchanger · 18/12/2018 10:46

Not a great deal left to do but I still feel frazzled!

BrieAndChilli · 18/12/2018 10:51

i need to

  • make the gingerbread house ([probably bake it on Sunday and let the kids decorate it on monday)
-Quick tidy of the house -catch up on laundry -make a birthday cake for DS1s birthday on Saturday -food shop (me and DD get up at 5.30am on xmas eve to go to the massive sainsburys so we can be there when it opens an hour earlier than normal (so a lot of people dont realise so its still relatively quiet!) -make the trifle -sort the xmas eve box (basically locate the new pjs ive bought, chuck in hot choc and marshmallows, new xmas book)
skippy67 · 18/12/2018 11:57

Food shop and cards.

GooodMythicalMorning · 18/12/2018 12:04

Still waiting for one present to turn up but its an eBay one I didnt realise was coming from china as specifically searched for a uk seller, so not convinced that will turn up in time but a lot of the rest is already wrapped. Any last bits of food I will send dh out for on sat probably, but we should have most of it delivered from Muscle Foods which I've never tried before so hoping its not rubbish but if it is we will have time to replace it.

WeCameToDance · 18/12/2018 12:12

I desperately need to sort out the laundry that im strategically ignoring.
I need to sort out presents for my grandparents. Im thinking of going down the lazy route and buying vouchers. They dont like anything!
I need to wrap pretty much everything. Im strategically ignoring that too.
Build a toy garage that looks like it needs 3 degrees to put together.
Write a list and do the big food shop on Saturday.
Jeez I wish I never came on this thread, ive scared myself!

MadisonAvenue · 18/12/2018 12:17

I need to drop some presents off with friends and do the food shop.

Today, tomorrow and Thursday I'm waiting for deliveries. Oh, and Saturday too.

FairyFace · 18/12/2018 12:33

Frazzled aint the word. Vomiting bug in our house at the minute, I have a load of shit to do for DH business, still need to get my turkey and ham, still little bits of presents left to get, Oh stop, I am up to the 100s anxiety wise, but I love Christmas so I am taking 10 mins here to have a browse through mumsnet when I have 100 other things that need done. Merry Christmas ladies xxx

Tiggles · 18/12/2018 12:42

Wrap the presents, think about buying some food, write a talk for a carol service, a Christingle service, a midnight mass, and a Christmas day service...
however I have to take a couple of funerals, school assemblies and welcome schools to the church to do their Christmas plays before I can get to thinking about the above.
Did I mention I was the vicar Grin.

LittleLlamaontheduskyroad · 18/12/2018 17:19

Wrap Santa presents
Buy pate & crackers

That's it. I'm on it this year!!!

SeaViewBliss · 18/12/2018 17:24

Buy one more thing for DD which I am getting tomorrow. Pick a parcel up from sorting office.

Wrap everything, haven’t wrapped a thing yet but DH and I usually do it all in one evening.

Food shop Friday night. DD and I will probably go at about 11.

Small whizz round Waitrose on Saturday morning.

Worst job, declutter DS room as he’s getting a PC and we need to pack all his Lego away as he’s outgrown it ☹️

Arrowfanatic · 18/12/2018 17:41

Laundry
Collect food shop Friday and wait for a different food shop the same day.
Promised kids a trip to the beloved space centre on Saturday
Meal with my awful sister on Sunday

Clean house
Wrap all the gifts for my kids (I've done every one elses)
Take my nan to hospital

Kids finish school at 3.30pm on Friday so I've still got a few days. However I've been none stop for 2 weeks already and I'm so ready for a day of doing nothing. Can't see that happening till after Xmas.

Girlicorne · 18/12/2018 18:22

Buy the tatties and the veg, and pick up the steak pie from the butcher for New Year’s Day.

DragonMamma · 18/12/2018 18:26

I’ve bought everything present wise. It just needs wrapping.

I’ve bought the booze and veg, final shop is being delivered on Sunday and then we are good to go Smile it’s the most organised I’ve ever been!

Owlettele · 18/12/2018 20:12

Wrap, food shop (volunteered dh to go after gym on Sat 🤣) - then just enjoy 😊

HotInWinter · 18/12/2018 20:16

Fly into country
Check the Amazon order and pray it's all turned up at Mums
Got buy some bits I didn't order online.
Get a hair cut (last cut in summer during visit hone)
Take kids to opticians and argue DSs frames shouldn't have broken 3 months ago.
Wrap everything
Make mince pies
Buy everything I might need for the recent SEN diagnoses for DS before I fly back.
Keep a track of weight of stuff bought so I don't go over 3 cases and individual weight limits.

Marmite27 · 18/12/2018 20:19

Wrapping for my family, DH, kids stockings and the baby’s presents that originally belonged to her sister.

But 4x gift bags and 2 bottles of booze.

Food shopping, but the turkey and beef are already in the freezer.

Marmite27 · 18/12/2018 20:19

Oh and as I’ve finally managed to lay my hands on some orange curd, I’ve got a chocolate orange cake to make Grin

MsAwesomeDragon · 18/12/2018 20:24

I need to clean the house!!! (That's probably a few days worth of work and I don't have time to do it as I'm at work til Friday)
Find/Wrap presents (I may have hidden some of them too well)
Food shop
Buy present for cm.
Any baking there won't be any done this year
And relax.
