A week to go - what do you still need to do?

I just need to buy 1 more thing for DD1, chocolate coins and a card for my Mum & Dad
Need to finish wrapping which I’m hoping to get done today
Then I need to do the food shop at weekend
And that’s it! Feeling rather organised

What’s everyone still got in their to do list?

Wrapping. Buy wrapping paper.
Write and post cards. I know.
Food shop.
Take DM shopping.
Pick up DD from train station.
Take DF to hospital.
Physio.
Get dog groomed.
Clean house.
Work.
DH will do half of everything.
Buy stocking fillers.

Buy tree, decorate tree, buy presents, wrap presents, clean house, go to tip approximately eleventy times, food shop .... oh and my old cooker is in the yard and my new one is too big to fit. So yeah. Oh and write and post Christmas cards. Christmas is just the most wonderful time of the year innit?

Loads still to do but a week to do it all in, so not feeling stressed.

Got a handful of presents still to buy - but only stocking fillers, or token presents for cousin's DC when they come for a get together.

Got to clean the house top to bottom, make up bed in spare room and remove all DCs music recording stuff from the room so elderly relatives can get in!

Lots of wrapping to do too, though I'm thinking of getting job lots of Poundstore gift bags that can be reused, on eco grounds (and because I hate wrapping).

Need to finish laundry
Buy dhs stocking chocolates, ils wine and sweets
Pick up one parcel from town
Food shop
Lidl for gin and fake baileys
Quick blitz of house
Deliver ndn wine and biscuits

Sit in front of Xmas tree drinking prosecco

Wrap all the presents for our 3 dc, plus stockings
Big food shop on Friday
Ice my cake (tomorrow) and decorate with my delightful fondant penguins
Make a chocolate igloo dome for said penguins to shelter under and find a battery op tealight to illuminate the igloo from inside (yes, I know, I know....)
Massive clean and tidy
Tidy my kitchen cupboards so I can actually cook the dinner
Christmas dos on Thursday and on Friday
Plus all the usual activities, baking, etc
And a 10km race on Sunday morning

So not much then!

Get the veg & the bastard bread sauce
Need to pick up last few presents
Hair appointment
Hospital appointment
Carole concert
Conference call with work even though im on holiday
Wrap the last of the presents once brought
Mary Poppins @ the cinema
Re clean house Monday only to re clean it again Wednesday once everyones gone home
Go back to work Thursday

Just this second finished all my wrapping.

Need to go out tomorrow and buy Xmas eve pyjamas for the Xmas eve boxes.
Friday big shop (not hosting on the big day but I'm doing a buffet type thing for family on xmas eve).
And then I'm finished!

Ds1 is done but still some things to wrap
Ds2 I still need to buy his bike and other bits to wrap
Ds3 is done but still things to wrap. It's his birthday a few days after Xmas though and I still have things to get for this
Ds4 still 2 things to buy and a few things to wrap.
Have some other things to warp and still need 2 things for dh dgm and 1 thing each for his dm and her husband
Need to go round and deliver gifts to everyone we won't see on the big day

Quick clean of the house
Wash sheets/towels
Food shopping
Enjoy panto and Santa train trips at the weekend

Presents were done in November and wrapping finished last night.

I need to clean the house & finish the washing (I wish!). Dh is sorting the food shop this weekend- I'm getting the crackers and some nice table settings. We're hosting and I'm feeling a tad stressed already. Somewhere in between this I should attempt to finish off an essay due in after New Year and start another. I'm so tempted to sack it off until after Christmas-I've lost all motivation Rather drink Bailey's & crochet whilst binge watching Riverdale or Vampire Diaries which my friend has got me heavily invested in

Well I finished my wrapping today but it turns out one of the DCs stockings has a lot less than the others (I swear I was counting, I don’t know how that’s happened!) so I’ve now got to find another couple of bits for her
And tonight my job decided to stop working 😱 so add ‘get hob fixed pronto or there will be no Xmas dinner) to my list

I’m intrigued by all the laundry on peoples lists - is this a thing? Empty washing baskets for Xmas? I have to say that ones passed me by and I’m absolutely fine with that

DH has his Christmas party tomorrow night, so I'm going to order a Chinese and finish the wrapping in front of Christmas films.

Working Thurs & Fri from home, so sort out the laundry & change the bedding. I should finish earlier on Friday, so clean the flat and start loading up the car.

Finish cleaning/tidying on Saturday, potentially go to a football game & DH can wrap his presents.

Drive home for Christmas on Sunday and relax!

Sorry about that. Simple times here. Just like any other day really. Salmon with Bearnaise sauce for Christmas dinner, we all hate turkey and all that stuff. Sorted. We don't do presents either. What are we like!

Hope that the work we are having done on the kitchen and downstairs loo is finished then do a massive clean.

Have a few presents left to buy - small thing for DS dad from him, some toys for the dogs and cats in the family, wine for childminder and that should be me!

Haven’t wrapped a thing yet so should probably sort that at some point .

Will probably do Christmas food shop on Saturday - only partner and me so not much to buy.

DS has an Xbox for Christmas so think I should probably set that up and make sure it’s all working, although I’ve left it a bit late if it’s not!

Feel reasonably on top of things but dreading setting Xbox up and packing away again - I’m a bit of a technophobe!

Nothing, I literally just finished my last money wallet today. My brother is sorting my Dds breaks out on the new bike she’s getting as I sliced my fingers up trying the other day, managed everything else though. Gotta do the last bit of food shopping on Friday and that’s absolutley it.

I'm icing the Christmas cake tonight and finishing off the gingerbread train, then on Sunday afternoon I'm heading over to MILs to wrap all the presents (and we are getting our Christmas nails done!). Christmas eve is baking with my mum, then that's it - other than housework!

Done nothing. Probably won't do much as I haven't got the heart to. My dm is quite ill and this will be her last Christmas, her last few weeks I think. My dad isn't well either and he's worrying and panicking about dm. I'll put on a brave face and be cheery for them but the reality is I can't face it. My offspring is an adult now so will just prefer money to presents. Sod the tree, cards, etc.

The igloo didn't work, two attempts and rather a lot of white chocolate wasted.

So this will have to do!
