Funny or sweet present requests from your dc

I have just started another thread on Chat, as my 4 year old dd has asked for a Gingerbread man who can run as fast you can. She would also like a bath bomb and a tiny tub of slime.

I just think her little list is the sweetest thing! Her older siblings who are 6 and 10 have asked for phones (no chance!!!), Xbox games and hatchimals.

Any other lovely little requests?

When ds was 2 we took him to see Santa, and when he asked what he wanted, ds said a red shovel. Was easy to find and the look of amazement his little face on Christmas Day brought tears to my eyes.

The next year he asked Santa for a blue shovel, the year after an orange one.

He’s 14 after just after Christmas and hasn’t believed in Santa for a good few years, but he’s had a shovel in his stocking every year! (we’re running out of colours but he’s got a dark blue with a PlayStation logo sticker we stuck on the back this year)

Ds now 9 has put on his list for the last 3 years

Prawns
Smoked salmon
Snow

Despite Santa leaving a note to say that as he delivers to hot countries first, he’s unable to bring any of those items.

When DD1 was little she requested a real life crocodile, it couldn’t be a toy or teddy it had to be real. I asked where it would live and she replied, as if I was silly, in our bath! Luckily she saw some in real life a month or so after and went off them quite quickly Grin

That’s the only random request from either of my DD’s, in some ways I feel sad that they don’t ask for random things, on the other hand I’m relieved 😅

PunkAssMoFo · 09/12/2018 23:43

Not a request, but ds is saying that he’s going to get me a shooting star for Christmas.
