Funny or sweet present requests from your dc

I have just started another thread on Chat, as my 4 year old dd has asked for a Gingerbread man who can run as fast you can. She would also like a bath bomb and a tiny tub of slime.

I just think her little list is the sweetest thing! Her older siblings who are 6 and 10 have asked for phones (no chance!!!), Xbox games and hatchimals.

Any other lovely little requests?

chickenfillets that's adorable ❤️

I remember DS1 asking for a JML flexi torch. He was 4. The following year he wanted a battery operated spaghetti fork. I wish he was so easily pleased now!

minipie · 11/12/2018 14:53

DD1 age 6 wants Elf dust to make it snow and “A Tingally Bell”.

DD2 age 3 wants a puppy Hmm

Mumshappy · 11/12/2018 14:56

Dd8 wants a backback from smiggle and she said the rest can go to the poor children

hiptobeasquare · 11/12/2018 16:24

@mumshappy She sounds lovely. X

mishmash13 · 11/12/2018 16:31

My 5 year old ds wants 'popcorn'

Jackshouse · 11/12/2018 16:40

My two year old wants real purple flowers.

milkmoustache · 11/12/2018 16:44

When DS was 5 he wanted a guinea pig and a lawyer. He was very annoyed that there was no sequel to Monsters Vs Aliens and he thought a decent lawyer could sort that out.

Tidypidy · 11/12/2018 16:47

Ds2 age 5 has asked for glitter glues, Lego, a rooler (his spelling) and a photo of Santer

RaspberryBeret34 · 11/12/2018 16:47

DS is 6 and one of the things on his list is "hedge seeds, because i'd really like a hedge to look after". I've no idea where that one came from!

Dinosharks · 11/12/2018 16:53

My DD (4) has said she is getting DH a dog for Christmas. I've managed to persuade her a real one wasn't an option so a soft toy dog she has picked.

Mumshappy · 11/12/2018 17:13

Ah thank you hiptobeasquare

When ds1 was in yr1 the only thing he wanted for his birthday was a school fleece - the optional one with a logo that they weren't allowed to wear in class and wasn't really warm enough for a coat, so I'd never bothered.

I mentioned it just in passong, when I ordered it and when it was in, the school secretary called me rather than sending it home in his book bag Smile

AckYourHole · 11/12/2018 17:24

When he was younger DS wanted a tail Grin
He's a teenager now and his only request this year is a tube of Jaffa cakes.

LaurieMarlow · 11/12/2018 18:51

DS, 4 and a half has asked Santa for a kiwi and a bag of M&Ms. Quite honestly nothing would make him happier. Grin

nocutsnobuttsnococonuts · 11/12/2018 18:57

Dd1 asked for a loaf of bread for a midnight snack... and since Mrs Claus baked her chocolate tree bread it's featured on both girls lists every year since.... but I can't ask for the recipe as I'm not a very good cook apparently 🤣

Dd2 asked for a cuddly orange sparkly turtle one year! Through much googling I found one.

This year dd1 has asked for Newt Scamanders case of fantastic beasts! Currently working on it, been quite a fun project 😁

afrikat · 11/12/2018 19:03

My two year old has asked for a 'green'. She won't elaborate any further, she just wants a green.

She also wants a 'big dog'. She absolutely hates dogs. I've asked her if she means a cuddly dog, a toy dog etc. No, she wants a real, big dog. Little weirdo

Parttimewasteoftime · 11/12/2018 20:01

My DS2 asked for real baby a few years ago managed to convince him Lego was better 😂
This year DS1 wants a board game and DS2 wants a basketball 🏀.

Bumbumtaloo · 12/12/2018 16:33

My youngest has just asked for a whole water melon to herself and can’t she believe she forgot to put it on her letter to Father Christmas. She did make me laugh by asking if I could just pop him a text or an email to add it for her Xmas Grin

KatyNana · 12/12/2018 18:24

A hot air balloon

GunillaGarsonGoldberg · 22/12/2018 22:06

Broccoli and grandma to feel better. Santa delivered both thank fully :) wrapping broccoli was fun :)

Girlicorne · 22/12/2018 23:10

A couple of years ago DD (9 at the time) asked Santa for an egg with a moustache so we bought one of those rubber bouncy eggs and drew a moustache on with a sharpie!!

ritzbiscuits · 22/12/2018 23:35

My 5 yo DS has asked for more 'happy faces' to go in his Lego minifigure tin!

ihearttc · 23/12/2018 11:10

When DS2 was 3 he asked Father Christmas for a fireman's pole ((he was obsessed with Fireman Sam).

Father christmas was very good and said that he would find that a bit tricky to deliver on the sleigh.

duckling84 · 23/12/2018 17:50

All my ds3 (very almost 3) has asked for is mash'ems - the £2.99 blind bag toy. Either pj masks, paw patrol or the incredibles. That is all. I love how innocent and small his list is, with no idea about value or size. I wish it would remain that way forever (unlike his 9year old brother who might as well send the Smyths toys catalogue to santa in place of a specific list as he wants everything!!)
