Acey I hope you're enjoying your bath macaroons
I love the idea of Paddy singing away completely out of tune. DH dances with me sometimes even though he has no rhythm and 2 left feet. It would look awful if anyone could see but it makes me smile every time.
Fluffy Thank you. I haven't told my family about my fertility issues because I don't want it to be gossip, although DSis has made comments which lead me to believe she knows.
Well done on the steps!
MrsMad Rather than feel bad, I would be proud if I were you - most of us would have exploded well before now! I definitely think your sis is jealous, probably because you and your DH are happy, you have been able to retire, you are relentlessly positive and caring and people like you!
Thank you for your good wishes. I normally put on a great brave face and answer the inevitable "don't you want kids" questions with tales of my holidays and enjoying my freedom but times like Christmas and New Year are very very hard, even more so because they really seemed to hit DH this year.
Woolly Well done on your organisation skills. How is your bread machine? Easy to use? I would like one but DH swears I'd never use it...
I'm not doing anywhere near so well. DH has done all the cooking and we have clearly misjudged how much we would eat - there's enough food here to keep us going until March
so DH is going to have to turn some leftover turkey into his (Jamie Oliver's) lovely pie 🥧
Cathy I hope your 2 feel better soon and that you can warm up your house!
Where in the country are you? As far as I can work out we have some English, Irish, Welsh and American posters. I don't recall anyone saying they are based in Scotland but I could be wrong!
Wheels I'm glad you seem to be settling to the idea of a tube. Would you have to sleep elsewhere or your DH?
I am exhausted today. A very good friend baby bombed me today (announced her pregnancy after 3 months of trying), about an hour after another friend contacted me to say his partner gave birth to their (miracle, 3rd round of IVF) baby. Amazing news for them but hard for me - I would never ever let them see / know that though don't worry.
I'm home with 2 dogs snoring on me and DH researching new tents next to me 🙄
I want to treat myself to a planner / diary / organiser type of thing which is a bit luxurious, can be used as a kind of bullet journal but doesn't require lots of arty stuff because I'm lazy at stuff like that Can anyone make any suggestions?
PS Sorry for the monster post
