Help - cool/nice skin care for 15 year old girl?

My 15 year old neice has asked for face and body skincare products for Christmas - what things or brands are nice/preferably cool for girls that age? She's a lovely girl and I want to get her something she'll really like - thanks in advance!

There's skin products designed for teens called"Aimee's" I think.
I bought some in a sale somewhere when I was in my 20s. It was very lovely to use.
Ticks all the boxes... Not tested on animals, designed to use on sensitive teenage skin.
I think they have a website you can order from

I'm given to understand that Glossier is the go-to make-up skincare brand for teenage girls by my particular teenage girl. It certainly smells lovely but I'm not sure it justifies the prices.

BingThing · 30/11/2018 19:18

Thanks LadyPeterWimsey - any particular things that they like?

I missed the "cool" requisite in the OP!
My suggestion might be off the mark there lol. I'm in no way cool!

SummerintoAutumn · 30/11/2018 19:21

I agree - Glossier. Has to ship from the US I think. The perfume is lovely too.

www.superdrug.com/Nivea/Nivea-Pro-Makeup-Kit-with-makeup-Organiser-Gift-Set/p/764638 I got this for my just turned 16 year old. She likes Nivea stuff, not harsh in the skin.

WWYDhelpplease · 30/11/2018 19:53

Soap and glory? The big half price deal is on at boots soon.

Makeup revolution now do skincare or some liz earle a d glamglow masks

MummyMummy01 · 30/11/2018 20:24

Lush. They do the full range so you can pick what you want

LadyPeterWimsey · 30/11/2018 20:32

In terms of skincare, balm dotcom, and boy brow or cloud paint or haloscope in makeup are probably safe choices. I got dragged to not one but both Glossier shops last summer, and they were full of teenage and early 20s girls trying everything on. The whole shop is pale pink, and smells delicious. And apparently the packaging is the part of the whole experience, so don't re-wrap.

RaininSummer · 30/11/2018 20:46

Might be best not to start her off on anything really pricey as it needs to be realistic for her ongoing budget. I love superdrugs natural radiance range but that probably is a tad low budget for a nice gift.

beachygirl · 30/11/2018 21:01

How about Liz Earle? I don't know how cool she would find it, but it is great for teenage skin and no animal testing.

reallyanotherone · 30/11/2018 21:04

Body shop seems to have had a teenage resurgence. Mine seems to prefer it over Lush these days.

Villanellesproudmum · 30/11/2018 21:04

Nip and Fab do a teen skin range.

BookMeOnTheSudExpress · 30/11/2018 21:13

Dd is 15 and likes Lush, Body Shop, l'Occitane and Korean skincare (sheet masks especially)

HELENSCRESCENT · 30/11/2018 21:16

Lush, soap & glory or body shop all teenager friendly.

misstiggiwinkle · 30/11/2018 21:32

Spots and stripes? Cool teenage brand

Knittedfrog · 30/11/2018 21:38

Glamglow

Angelinthenight · 30/11/2018 21:43

I would say soap and glory or lush have such nice stuff ,i use both and buy both for gifts.soap and glory have amazing gift sets x

Harryrotter · 30/11/2018 21:46

definitely get Nip and Fab teen range, it’s lovely and a nice treat, but not too dear if she wanted to carry on with it, the face wash, pads and moisturiser come highly recommended by my dc age 13 and 15.

imnottoofussed · 30/11/2018 22:18

I've just been informed that Mario Badescu is good, they sell it in urban outfitters which is a cool young person type place Grin also sell it on beauty bay. dd 17 has asked for the aloe toner especially

BingThing · 30/11/2018 23:57

Thanks everyone for all the suggestions - I've got all boys under 10 years old - so I'm clueless!
