echo dot (3rd gen) out of stock until Christmas!

Argh why did i procrastinate so long.....

Does anyone think they'll be in earlier? will they still be cheap?

My indecision was … 4 children 2 in each bedroom do they have a dot each or a normal echo to share?

I’ve just checked and you can get the dot/smart plug package from 13 dec! Only £35 for both

They def only need one dot per room!

I think that's only the black one. The other colours should arrive before Christmas.

I ordered one on Monday but they said it wouldn’t be available until mid December, I got an email today saying it is coming tomorrow. Might be worth ordering it, you might get one sooner than expected.

Argos have them in at the same price where I am but aren't doing the deal with the plug. Worth a check

Try John Lewis? They were matching the price and I picked up from Waitrose.

Thank you for all your help. Managed to get some from Argos and Currys at the same price. Going for 4 for a as they can plug headphones into them and listen to different things. Currently they have to agree on a CD!!

Difference between gen 3 and 2 is what? Thinking of getting for pils.

I missed out too OP but then the eco reduced down to £40 so I snapped up 2 for dd (11) and DS (16) before they went back up. I think they are at £54 at the moment but full price was £89 so was happy with that. I was going to get a dot for my dad though so gonna keep a look out

I ordered one last week in the light grey with an expected delivery of 7th December and it arrived on Sunday. I've got one upstairs and one downstairs, you'd definitely only need one per room.

Has anyone got any other leads on this? I've tried Amazon, Currys, Argos, Sainsburys, John Lewis (online as don't have JL anywhere near me) and Very. All showing out of stock so getting a bit desperate.

Try Curry's or Argos first thing in the morning when any reservations that haven't been collected will go back to stock.
I got one from Curry's like this on Sunday morning to collect anytime until Monday night.

we have went for the 2nd generation models - cant see much difference between the 2nd & 3rd generation ones.

We have 1 in the living room and 1 in the kitchen, they are fab! Also, they are slightly cheaper at £19.99 each

solemnlyswear i'd be happy to go for a 2nd gen one for £20 at this stage but can't find them in stock anywhere either! Amazon claim to have a 2nd gen one at £49.99 but I'm not keen to be ripped off to that degree!

Curry's claim to have one in a bundle with the smartplug but actually don't when you try and check it out. hey ho!

imintenseoriminsane - we got ours from Argos, they were the only ones to have stock in. They had sold out of all other kinds apart from these. Where are you based?

We have just realised that we can control our new TV with the dots - lots of fun last night turning the TV off on one another :)

If it helps I ordered the 3rd generation Echo Dot, and was advised a delivery date of 7th December and I've had an email to say it's here tomorrow.

So it looks like deliveries are quicker than advertised which is good!
