Does anyone think they'll be in earlier? will they still be cheap?

My indecision was … 4 children 2 in each bedroom do they have a dot each or a normal echo to share?

Do you need the smart plug for the dot to actually work?

You only need a smart plug to turn appliances on or off remotely. You can use a dot with no add ons. Dm is now thinking she might like one. Anyone know of anywhere in stock?

Well my early delivery (which was originally planned for 07/12 and was told I'd get it today), was dispatched by Amazon yesterday and now it's held up somewhere and they've delayed delivery, and can't tell me when it's arriving.

Absolute frustration as I pay for Amazon Prime so I get my dispatched orders the next day.

@rainydogday I had a thread the other day asking where to get one after amazon removed mine from my basket and every shop was out of stock. I’ve now ended up with two! John Lewis had a black one so I bought that (DD wanted a white one) then I collected a white one today from PC World (even though curry’s told me they were completely out of stock). It’s worth checking websites regularly as I think the one I got today had been returned.

Not sure how we would do it to keep us both safe but I have a spare 3rd gen black one that I could send to you (don’t suppose you live in the north east!)

Yes it was bought in John Lewis on Tuesday for £25. If you want it then it’s yours, I know how frantic I was trying to find one for DD’s birthday tomorrow! I can’t post until Saturday morning as I’ve given it to my mum to return to JL but I’m seeing her tomorrow afternoon. Happy to pm you a copy of the receipt. PM me if you would like it.

Yes so flippin annoying, my DM has just decided she wants one for Christmas today, not 3 weeks ago when there were millions everywhere for next to nothing, also just got one of the new ones from Very for £50 🙄
