Black Friday Xbox one/PS4 deals and advice

I haven’t seen any around so far - anyone else watching out for these and seen anything?

Also, any advice on which Xbox one model to get? This is to replace an Xbox 360 for a 12 year old not super mad on gaming but would like some if the newer games only available on Xbox one (or PS4).

We have always had an Xbox for the Ds's but have decided to get a PS4 this year.

I haven't seen any deals on consoles yet only some of the games on amazon.

Amazon have a great deal on PlayStation

My sons just brought a Xbox one s second hand from cex 180, come with 2 year warranty and you can get ones in the boxes.

The original Xbox one sells at 150 from cex.
Inwoyldnt go to game as if found them very over priced.

Thesmallthings I don't think amazon have reduced the PlayStation yet just the VR set.

Is there much of a difference between the Xbox one models? I don’t want to go for the original Xbox one if games for it are going to stop being published in the next year or so for example!

Xbox one s is smaller and slightly faster. Xbox x is the newest but they'll be making game for all 3 for a while still so I wouldn't worry about that.

If your wanting the Kinect id go for the original one as you need a special adapter for the s.

Or if you don't mind renting. Huges do Xbox box one for 3.40 a week, but that included insurance, even accidental so if any thing goes wrong they just replace it and you can upgrade after a year to a newer model.

Get the PS4. It's much better than any Xbox on the market at the moment.

It’s worth trying amazon Germany for Xbox deals - I have just bought one from there for £166. Haven’t got it yet so can’t vouch for it! This was a hot deal yesterday on the hukd site, a great place for bargains.

Great idea iggi! Will a German Xbox be compatible with uk voltage/PAL system though? (I’m out if my depth here!)

I bloody hope so! Whenever i go to Europe i take my electrical stuff and an adapter, so cant see why this would be different.

If it has a European plug I will get one of the UK plugs with the figure of 8 end that you plug into the brick anyway. Only a few pounds. I don’t really want to open it when it arrives as it’s (duh) a present.

Should be fine. I bought a hoover from a German website. Voltage is the same, I just had to buy a transformer plug.

Oh, I meant to say, I bought an Xbox one a 1TB with Forza Horizon 4 from ShopTo’s shop on eBay this week for £199 incl delivery. They’re still full price on their regular website.

'We' (as in DS and DH want one but I am the one doing the research) are looking for a PS4 with FIFA 19, ideally including a dualshock controller. No idea what this is but TB too? And maybe the middle one- classic? DS wants to get one now, DH wants to wait until BF and I don't want to get the bloody thing!

1 TB refers to the memory, that’s twice as big as one that says 500. We have a 500 and to be fair it has required us to delete stuff to put new stuff in.

I bought an Xbox One from the AO shop on eBay earlier. 1TB with 3 minecraft games for £179. Happy with that. I still need to find a PS4, I'm watching Currys as they haven't released their proper Black Friday deals yet.

I bought DS a 1TB Xbox 1s in their prime day in the summer for £199. It came with the complete minecraft series free download codes, plus wireless controller (minecraft style) a normal controller plus a forza game and a pirate game

Following! I’m looking for a PS4. Could I ask, how many controllers does it generally come with...is it just one? So would we have to buy a separate one to play games together?

The one we bought came with one, I think that’s standard.

Word on the street is that Tesco will be doing the Xbox one plus two controllers for £160 tomorrow
