Black Friday Xbox one/PS4 deals and advice

I haven’t seen any around so far - anyone else watching out for these and seen anything?

Also, any advice on which Xbox one model to get? This is to replace an Xbox 360 for a 12 year old not super mad on gaming but would like some if the newer games only available on Xbox one (or PS4).

They come with one controller as standard. Yes, you would need to buy a second controller.

Re the PlayStation s - they seem to come with one dual stick controller - I have just bought a second from J Lewis's form£34.95 instead of £44.95 plus Gran Turismo game from Argos for £12

PS4 Fifa 500g bundle at Smyths Toys for £209.99. Just ordered hope I did the right thing rather than hold out for tomorrow ...

I got the PS4 1tb with Fifa for £243 from very. I don't think they will be reduced anymore than they are now. But I have had a wobble and wondered if I should have got an xbox one as it's cheaper. The children have never had a PlayStation though.

Ok, another donkey question about xboxes. Do I need a paid subscription to Xbox live to download and play Fortnite on an Xbox one?

Not sure about XBOX but on PS4 you dont need their subscription service so its more than likely the same.

OP did you get your German Xbox? Mine came yesterday. I did open it and the plug is a two pin one - I am going to get a new cable instead of an adapter, might have one lying around somewhere anyway - you just need one with a plug on one end and a figure of eight type socket on the other, such as would fit into a cd/tape player.

Hi Iggi - yes mine came yesterday too! I only looked at the controller to see if the headset I was thinking of buying would be compatible with it.

Thanks for the heads up on the power lead - I’ll probably get a three pin one too, they’re only a couple of quid off amazon I think. We generally have loads of adapters as lived in Sweden for many years and loads of our stuff have two pin plugs (including wii u which works no problems here in the uk).

Do you need to pay for an online pass to be able to play the games?
Just wondering as I went to get the Xbox one with the fortnite game and it said something along those lines, I'm very confused!

Trying to decide between ps4 and Xbox one, but don't really want to pay monthly fees to be able to play it. Can someone please dumb this down for me
