Little luxuries for dh

Dh appreciates indulgent/ luxury items. Any suggestions for stocking filler type items that fit these criteria around the £20-30 mark? Really struggling for him this year.

Hip flask and a posh miniature.
Cashmere socks (don’t know how much they’d be).
Silk tie.
Beautiful bath product or shower gel, something from Rituals?
Lovely chutney.
Cuffinks.
Wax covered thing of amazing cheese.
Box of special chocolates.

Howmanysleepstilchristmas · 15/11/2018 17:38

He doesn’t work in an office type job, so no real occasion to wear cuff links/ tie/ dress socks, and wouldn’t use a hip flask (don’t know anyone who does!)
Lots of body products/ smellies are out because of skin sensitivity.
I’ll definitely get posh chocolates, but need more ideas.

Posh coffee / tea / hot chocolate / alcohol
A nicely bound book
Hat, scarf, gloves

Laska3Meryl · 15/11/2018 17:44

An Aeropress went down very well here

NorthEndGal · 15/11/2018 17:46

Pocket knife, mini bottles of his favourite alcohol, headphones, gloves, cheeses, chocolates, coffee

Laska3Meryl · 15/11/2018 17:48

oh and a Contigo travel mug
Bamboo socks Rapunui are great and have really fab tshirts also

justforareply · 15/11/2018 17:48

I've had a couple of friends really enjoy the whittards box of mixed coffees - 12 or 16 I think - in little boxes £25
Variety of roasts and from different regions

TheDowagerCuntess · 15/11/2018 17:49

Place marking.

It's tricky, isn't it. So many of these type of suggestions, they already have, or wouldn't like/need.

DH has a hip flask - he usually just takes it to music gigs. But I kind of think anyone who would like that sort of thing already has it.

Something gadget-y?

Perch · 15/11/2018 18:00

What does he like doing? What is his hobbies? Does he like food/wine?

winterisstillcoming · 15/11/2018 18:07

Deffo the contigo flask, charging bank, headphones, heated gloves, phone case.

Tugglyb · 15/11/2018 18:10

Chutney/jam/lemon curd or similar
Cashmere beanie (no idea if in budget to be fair)
A really nice glass - beer or whisky or just a high ball.
Hot water bottle
S'well bottle
Card holder/travel pass holder
Pen
Bit random but I once got OH some really solid, chunky nail clippers!
Sheepskin insoles

IggyAce · 15/11/2018 18:15

My dh loves King Cobra larger at £5 a bottle I buy it as a treat for Christmas and birthday. Usually find it in Morrisons or larger Tesco stores.

Howmanysleepstilchristmas · 15/11/2018 18:36

Nice glass sounds good.
Got hat/ gloves/ socks recently.
Will look at sheepskin insoles as he’s on his feet a lot. Do they fit any shoes/ boots?

I've had sheepskin insoles from Celtic and Co (other, likely cheaper, options are available!) and you just cut them to size.

SilkenTofu · 15/11/2018 18:55

Cashmere socks from The While Company (get 15% good off here)
A voucher for the Velodrome to ride around the track (MN'er recommended this, what a fab idea)
Waitrose double sized Toblerone
Mini pamper from local Turkish barbers including hair cut, shoulder massage, face steam and wet shave
A selection of 6 different beers e.g. Adnams.

tentative3 · 15/11/2018 18:55

I've done miniatures/samples of aftershave before, usually available from ebay

Pants!

Embossed leather key ring

I think you might need to give us some info though, what's he into? Toiletries are out because of allergies, but does he travel much? Would there be any scope there in terms of a washbag or luggage tags or passport holder? Does he cook or is there something he likes to eat? Doesn't have to be chocolates, I could get my OH some luxury imported stuff that would sound totally random to most of you. Or there might be kitchen equipment?

BangingOn · 15/11/2018 18:55

Really nice nuts, pretzels or posh crisps
Little sachets of Spicery spice blends if he enjoys cooking
Leather or braided phone cable
Leather valet/pocket tray

SimplyPut · 15/11/2018 18:57

Cashmere socks, massage voucher, luxury candle, leather key ring, leather notebook, luxury boxers, favourite spirit?

TreadSoftlyOnMyDreams · 15/11/2018 19:03

Nespresso travel coffee mug. Bit pricey but so so worth it.

Westiegirl3 · 15/11/2018 19:11

I'm struggling this year with gifts for my husband... I'm think of a Sonos speaker, and will read through the thread now for more ideas

Momasita · 15/11/2018 19:23

Head phones, gaming stuff...

Up grade anything he uses day to day, shaver stuff... Watch... Phone...
Days out, theatre

Wormwoodm · 15/11/2018 19:24

Not sure if he’s into cycling but got my dh some bits from rapha. A merino neck snood thing and hat. They went down very well.

Wormwoodm · 15/11/2018 19:26

The snaffling pig salt and vinegar pork scratching were popular too

Guiltypleasures001 · 15/11/2018 19:28

Lidl are doing half price airfix kits train tank and the Mary rose £4.99 each sadly out of stock in my local
