Hiding Christmas presents

Where does everyone hide their Christmas presents? I am currently using the large suitcase under my bed but imagine I'll run out of space soon.
Does anyone have any ingenious ideas to share?
I don't think my children (12, 8 and 3) would go hunting for presents, but they're pretty inquisitive so my hiding places need to be pretty good!!

In the summerhouse 😂 it looks like Santa's grotto but has kind ofcurtains so I've just closed them!

When I was a kid my brother and I found ours in the garage. My dad tried to make it look like it was more junk he needed to throw out big black bin liners. The suitcase is the best idea. I put mine in my cupboard in my room and tell my son that if he looks I’ll send them back and he knows I would so he never has. That being said I have a second child who I’m certain will not be as good. For really big things I use my mum and dads attic.

I always hunted for my presents, my mum used to hide them in the cupboard in her bedroom. One year I actually unwrapped a few of them Blush Kids don’t think through the consequences of their actions, so those who think they are safe if they’re wrapped, think again!

We put them in suitcase or boxes and then into the attic. Saying that, I have absolutely no idea where DH hides my presents. I suspect they stay at the office until he finishes work!

Top section (own door) of built in wardrobe (high ceilings)

I need a ladder to get them down though (just throw things in to get them there)

Under the stairs
On top of wardrobes
Under the bed
Anywhere concealed that the dc won't find out lol. So far so good except one year when my children opened a few Grin

i wrap as i go. currently have a trolley bag of wrapped gifts in plain sight in the bedroom. Nobody is unduly bothered but they are older now anyway.

We have a big cupboard in my bedroom that we have turned in to our walk in wardrobe. We the presents in there and we have put a lock on it so no one can get in other than me and DP.

SleepySofa · 07/11/2018 17:42

We’ve kept ours in cardboard boxes in the locked library for the last few years - DS will turn four this month and hasn’t been too inquisitive in previous years but this year we’re being very careful not to let him in if we go in! Next year, I dare say we’ll have to find somewhere else, though I don’t know where! I don’t want to keep things on the garage. I buy most of his presents so it needs to be somewhere I can access easily, unlike the attic which I can’t climb up to. I guess I’ll have to keep things in the car boot and send DP up to the attic when DS is in bed.

After you have hidden the presents

*Send yourself an email with a "coded" message telling you where it is hidden and whose it is
*
Perhaps call the email in the subject box

1225 GrinGrinGrinGrinGrinGrinGrin

Then when you want to find them just search in emails for 1225 (presuming you are in uk but if in USA/Canada then 2512) etc

Sending the mail a brilliant idea. As good as the mn tip to take pics of party invites when you get them so when you lose the invite you still have the details.
