So for Christmas I have asked for some good quality Wellington boots from DP as mine have holes in and I’m currently writing this with wet feet wearing trainers walking the dog!! I was thinking hunters but have heard they’re not amazing quality anymore.. they will get very heavy use as our dog needs lots of exercise!! I dream of warm dry feet so recommendations much appreciated!

Aigle. They are made of proper natural rubber. Unlike Hunter's which are now Chinese and made from a composite material.

Hunter wellies are so good i get them for my kids ,they are soft hard wearing, havent had any of my own but i love the kids range

Joules have nice ones x

Muck boots, after some myself...

betweenhillsandsea · 15/10/2018 14:14

Second Aigle, with the more rugged sole and neoprene liners....

Cost a lot, but last so long... and very comfy.

Yes, Hunters tend to split after a year.

Equimum · 15/10/2018 14:33

Agile with walking sole and neoprene lining.

Xiaoxiong · 15/10/2018 14:51

Aigle or Le Chameau. I thought the latter were a bit name-brandy but I went to an agricultural supply store a few years ago and they convinced me - 2 years of daily dog walks and they are still going strong, no splits yet!

Muck boots are fabulous and will keep your feet toasty. My only gripe with them is that the grip isn't great and I have slipped in them a couple of times.

FairyLightFiend · 15/10/2018 14:56

I’ve been really impressed with my new Barbour wellies. I had Hunters, and loved them, but they sprung a leak. My Barbours are more comfortable and warmer!

palindromeam · 15/10/2018 15:36

I've got Aigle. Fleece lined with a good grippy sole. I love them.

Though my friend who has skinny legs up to her armpits got some and they were too baggy on her ankles.

househunthappening · 15/10/2018 15:41

Le Chameau, they will cost you an arm and a leg but you will never buy wellies again.

VivaJen · 15/10/2018 18:31

Glad I found this thread - my Hunters sprung a leak after a year or so and I won't be buying another pair. My friend who is a dog walker has recommended Muck boots

PrincessTwilightStoleMyToddler · 15/10/2018 18:36

Le Chameau. Get the Vierznord neoprene lined ones. Warm comfy best things ever. Worth the money.

If you have wider calves (I do - I blame too much hockey at school) the men’s ones look identical to the women’s but are wider in the foot and calf.

LizzieBennettDarcy · 15/10/2018 18:42

Aigle Parcours. They are often on sale on Amazon. I've had mine 5/6 years and can walk miles in them. They keep your feet toasty warm and have proper soles so you're not damaging your feet. Love mine.

BiteyShark · 15/10/2018 18:44

Le Chameau. I use them for dog walking and have never spent that much money on wellies before but so glad I did. I can walk for hours in them. Mine are the neoprene lined ones.

user1486076969 · 15/10/2018 18:54

Aigle Parcours ISO 2 Neoprene from Decathlon (cheaper than other shops).

user1486076969 · 15/10/2018 18:56

Should add my previous pair were Le Chameau and they lasted 15 years.....some of that time they were in storage, but even so 15 years before rubber perished is pretty good. That being said I love my current Aigle onesGrin.

agedknees · 15/10/2018 20:20

My dd got me joules wellibobs for Christmas last year. I do a lot of dog walking along canals and they keep my feet lovely and dry. They’re never off my feet.

Wear mine for watching DS play sport. Lovely and warm.

MissRainbowBrite · 16/10/2018 13:27

Another vote for the Aigle neoprene wellies. I'll never go back to normal ones. I got mine from Amazon for about £80. They're fantastic, very comfortable and no more cold feet.

Dogegg33 · 16/10/2018 15:24

Aigle- really comfy and wear well.

OldSpeclkledHen · 16/10/2018 15:27

Muck Boots ... and they currently have an online sale... I just got a pair for £25 reduced from £85 😱

mrss2018 · 16/10/2018 15:32

Another muck boots vote from me

Doublechocolatetiffin · 16/10/2018 15:33

I agree with everyone else - Agile are fabulous. After years of rubbish wellies breaking within a few months I’m on year 2 with mine and they still look as good as new. I have the parcour 2 iso and a non neoprene lined summer one too. Love them.

ThomasHardyPerennial · 16/10/2018 15:34

I got some Rockfish wellies last year, and they have worn well. Pretty comfortable for wellies!

BikeRunSki · 16/10/2018 15:37

Not Joules. I have a friend who runs a shoe shop, and DM has a friend who runs a gift shop. The most frequently returned item to both is Joules wellies.
