So for Christmas I have asked for some good quality Wellington boots from DP as mine have holes in and I’m currently writing this with wet feet wearing trainers walking the dog!! I was thinking hunters but have heard they’re not amazing quality anymore.. they will get very heavy use as our dog needs lots of exercise!! I dream of warm dry feet so recommendations much appreciated!

Another vote for Aigle. The quality is so good, I swear they're going to last 20 years!

Grubs or Hoggs if you have any wet grassy hills to deal with.

Or Le Chameau if you can accept the price. Probably worth it but would feel so wrong to have my most expensive footwear purchase ever to be wellies!

Hunters

Muck boots - they're amazing for the winter, your feet will be warm in any weather! And no need for any wellie socks. Too hot for summer though.
There's lots of different types - PP said about grip not good, there's one type I had that did not have good definition on the sole so that was slippy in ice but the other types have been fine.
I do have a pair of hunters still going strong five years on but have heard they have gone downhill. In winter months it's muck boots all the way for me though Grin

Le Chameau are well worth their investment - Have had mine for 3 years now, walk the dog twice a day and have a horse too so yard duties twice a day and i also often ride in them.

My most expensive footwear purchases have both been wellies, Aigle and Le Chameau.

Avoid Hunter and Joules at all costs . My kids have had both and they are truly crap . Best we’ve had have been the green/Black Dunlop wellies then aigle and Boden .
