Just that. What do you want Father Christmas to bring you? (Or more realistically what are you going to put on a list for dh/dp/ other family to prevent getting random shit you don't want or need?)

Bossyboots88 · 24/09/2018 23:17

Definitely a fitbit and maybe a new pair of boots if I'm a good girl 😇

OvO · 24/09/2018 23:54

Cross stitch stuff
More cross stitch stuff
Fancy hand dyed fabric to cross stitch stuff on

Can you sense a theme? Grin

Peridot1 · 25/09/2018 04:12

Books, skincare stuff maybe. New pjs. I don’t need much as I am a bit of a spender anyway! I’d like an oil and vinegar bottle set so DH keeps saying I can have that for Xmas. But household doesn’t count! A jigsaw puzzle maybe.

Wanttomakemincepies · 25/09/2018 04:18

The REN bath oil and a book. And wine. #2 due in December so want something for when if I get some downtime.

ChishandFips33 · 25/09/2018 05:24

Place marking for ideas - It would have been Turtle Doves cashmere fingerless gloves/wrist warmers...but I bought them anyway. Now I'm stuck what to ask for

TheLastNigel · 25/09/2018 05:59

A steam mop, an oil cloth table cloth and a coat from Mint Velvet that costs £200 and which I won't get but it's nice to dream Grin

  • Camel coloured Cashmere Socks
  • Diptyque Soap
  • Rose and Violet Creams
  • Decent garden gloves
  • Audible Vouchers/Credits
  • Body Dry Oil
  • Peace Lily for the bedroom
  • Reve de miel lip balm
  • White company Fir Candle + Winter oil
  • Book "The Edible Gardener"
  • Silk Thermal Top

I could actually go on... clearly I'm greedy!

parcelandpeony · 25/09/2018 14:43

I'd love a coffee machine, flat iron, a new crossbody bag...a Tiffany bracelet if I've been very good. Smile Halo

My family still buys random shit even if you have a wish list. I bin it on Boxing Day and it’s such an annoying waste. If 10 people spend £50 that’s £500 of junk and I could have had one or two worthwhile items. Why are people so redundant to clubbing together for gifts?

My list always has Xmas decorations on it. I like the Bombki ones. And I usually add sweets, books and plants for the garden too. And maybe nice stuff for the kitchen like serving platters or ornaments. I don’t really want any of this stuff but it’s basically to stop people buying complete crap.

This year I’m passing off DC gifts as my own wishlist too. DVDs, blankets, craft items, decorative ornaments for the shelf, anything I want for DC and can feasibly claim is for me.

SpikyCactus · 25/09/2018 14:56

Resistant not redundant!

itsbritneybiatches · 25/09/2018 17:40

Ted and muffy boots and the new Fitbit charge 3

FrustratedTeddyLamp · 25/09/2018 17:54

Spiky just looked at the xmas decorations there are some odd things there but they look awesome. Can imagine a whole tree full of them collected over years on a nice tree would look great.

CrazyBaubles · 25/09/2018 20:27

A lovely organiser / planner / journal. Not sure exactly what one yet though.

Vouchers so I can buy make up and clothes

Touché Eclat

Lovely scented candles

New handbag

Would love a Phillips Lumier but too embarrassed to ask for one Blush

Deminism · 25/09/2018 22:52

I love this thread as always get such good ideas for myself from it.

I am toying with the idea of wanting a simple sewing machine.

Deminism · 25/09/2018 22:52

Also I like Molten Brown smellies

ChishandFips33 · 26/09/2018 05:42

Good idea!

FrannySalinger · 26/09/2018 06:03

Some Desmond & Dempsey tiger pyjamas.

thenewaveragebear1983 · 26/09/2018 07:14

Dull and functional:
Running gear
A training journal
Some bone conductor headphones

Nice things:
Toiletries
Nice pj’s

If anyone has any idea what my Dh would like, please post below! It’s nearly killed me getting things for his 40th this week, and that’s pretty much exhausted my ‘things he may want/need’ list for this year!

PaulMorel · 26/09/2018 08:28

Maybe a new pair of shoes and a GPS tracker I guess? But anything useful is also fine.

Mrsfussypants1 · 26/09/2018 09:12

White company dressing gown
Hunter wellies
Good wireless headphones

Reality is usually no brand tat. Though my daughter has started a tradition of making us white framed print of our granddaughters hands in diff colour each year. So that is top of my wish list and my favourite gift ever as a grown up. I've always asked for snow on Christmas day too. I do treat myself to couple of pairs of new pjs and some bomb Christmas bath bombs for christmas and New year period as I never receive any. And I also treat myself to one thing of my list out of my january wages.

MishMashMosher · 26/09/2018 17:48

Stuff I love and always get...
Pjs
Slippers
Chocolate
Mug

Stuff I'd love but no chance of getting...

Gym/running stuff
A watch
Handbag
Coat
Some lovely bath stuff
Books
Fancy candle

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 26/09/2018 20:18

I'm trying to reduce plastic use, so would really like some nice bubble bath in a glass bottle and maybe a shampoo bar or two.

New Urban Decay Naked palette

Fountain pen converters and bottles of ink (but I might buy those myself!)

I don't really want 'stuff' though, other than books and consumables.

Courtney555 · 26/09/2018 23:36

Canada goose coat
Chloe Tess bag

Crosses fingers, toes, eyes.....

LeMesmer · 26/09/2018 23:43

Things I won’t get 😂

A weekend away where everything is arranged for me, I do none of the planning, I just go.

A new Kindle, one of those very lightweight ones.

Won’t happen, I will have my usual chocolates, perfume and a scarf bought on Christmas Eve. Although DH did outdo himself last year and bought me a lovely fountain pen, so you never know.

GinFuzzy · 27/09/2018 19:41

Gin! Hills & Harbour, and nice glasses to drink it from.
