Beauty advent calendars 2018

Just noticed vogue published their favourite beauty advent calendars for 2018 - with prices and release dates here (don’t look if you want surprises as you can see what are inside some of the calendars.

Is anyone planning on getting one or more this year? Which looks the best?
I know my dd would love the look fantastic one, I can only dream of the diptyque one, or Liberty if they release one again this year [santa]

Just looked at the M&S calendar again. I think I will buy it. It’s food value and lots of things I want. Might buy one for MIL too if I think I’ll see her before December starts (they don’t live close) but presumably I need to spend £35 + £35 twice? I.e. can’t spend £35 on other stuff then buy two calendars 🤔

That's a good question, but yes I presume you need to spend £70 to get 2 calendars for £35 each.

I'm tempted to buy two as well (one for me, one for mum) and buy clothes etc for my DS.

I'm surprised that the Liberty one is still online, didn't it sell out in a few hours last year, or am I confusing it with another?

Liberty has said that their advent calendar is their fastest selling product of all time. Perhaps this year they've released more?

It was several days and by December they were being sold on eBay at less that their original price.

It was a poor calendar last year.

Really? I remember posters saying they loved it. This year's apparently has more skin care than make up which is ok by me because my skin is quite dehydrated at the moment.

I've had the last two years of Liberty calendars (my new one is coming today) and I thought that they were both excellent. It all depends on what you're interested in. I spent ages looking at the products first due to the huge cost.

Too many cleansers. Liberty have said that it will be better this year, more balanced.

Oh I see, well I can reassure anyone who has bought one that there definitely aren't loads of cleansers. There are no more than two :)

I usually get the No 7 one but didn't bother this year as it's always the same stuff and I have a box of it left over from last year!

I have had the M&S one before and really liked it and it just was a better quality in terms of design so I think I will go for that one.

Just got an email from M&S about the advent calendar. Sparks customers can order early online with the usual £35 spend. I ordered it with Formula Sleep box which is £30 at the moment and has the Sleep cream and other stuff (and some reduced tree decs)

I've got a Sparks card and don't have the email yet - just looked online and you can buy it for £280

Perhaps they are doing it in stages. I didn't get my 20% off until days after a lot of people on here.
