GH Get Ahead For Xmas 2018 magazine

Bought this magazine yesterday and really like it.

There's a couple of things that are on their calendar which are later than I'd do them.

The get ahead recipes are great though. All fairly straight forward and a lot of them are crowd pleaders so perfect for entertaining.

Has anyone else bought it?

I couldn't find the Good Food one today. Did see more GH though, but I don't need that now!

Someone on the bargain hunt page found that you can other this from Hearst direct with free delivery. If you go via top cash back you also get £4. I've ordered it and it has tracked.

I got the Good Food one but still can't track down the Good Housekeeping one. Meh. One's enough!

Where did you get Good Food?! I can't find it anywhere!

I've got the Good Food one but I'm trying to save it as a treat for my chemo appointment on Friday. We will see how long I can hold out...

My mum picked it up for me in WHSmith.

I couldn't find it in Smiths. But I was distracted by the older gentlemen in there who were treating the magazine area like a library! 😱

The worst is when it's a magazine with a free gift and all the bags have holes in from people stealing them!

My local Morrisons has copies of both the Good Housekeeping and the BBC Good Food one, as does my local Waitrose. I was in Waitrose this morning and picked up the Good Food one. I'm saving it to have in a quiet moment with a nice drink and some chocolate!

Ooh. Might have to try Morrison's!

I've given in and read my Good Food one. There are lots of new recipes for the main Christmas dinner, including some vegan and vegetarian if anyone needs those. But the homemade gifts and recipes to bake with children look completely identical to one of the magazines last year. (I made the pickled pink onions and they were really popular.) I do think it's a bit lazy of them considering it costs £5.99, so I might email them. Obviously I should check before I buy really, but I haven't been well enough to go to the shop myself.

I thought I was going to have to buy the GoodFood one but I spied the GH tucked away in the top rack of Waitrose (like some jammy turd had hidden it and was planning to come back)

I saw the Good Food one today in Sainsburys, but resisted. Also managed to resist a huge pile of Christmas Cookbooks in the charity shop yesterday ... so tempted, though! I think I've got enough.

Da Daaaaaaa - finally have the get ahead for christmas! Found it in waitrose too, got the good food one in Morrisons and also saw a simply christmas one in waitrose, was tempted if not just for the cookie cutters!

I've still not located the Good Food one! Destined not to I think. Sigh. Did see the Simply Christmas one though, but decided against it!

Fluffy I saw the Good Food in WHSmith ,Sainsbury and Waitrose (where I finally tracked down GH)

I've been into the first two with no joy. I'll try Tesco tomorrow, but I'm not planning a trip to Waitrose any time soon! Maybe I should though!

Whoop! Got it from Tesco! They now have a shit load of the GH ones too, plus the Simply Christmas one with the free cutters.

After weeks of fruitless searching, I picked this up earlier. Is it the same as the get ahead mag?

How good is it? I just looked online and I can get it delivered overseas for 15 quid.

timeisnotaline - that's what I'm wondering... It's 15 including delivery and the magazine. I love Christmas but live in a country that doesn't really celebrate Western festivals.

But a good Christmas cookbook might be cheaper delivery and good value!

mmgirish its very nice, actually. Lots of interesting recipes. I paid over €8 for it in my local shop. There is a GH Christmas cook book out as well. Perhaps that might be better value for delivering overseas?
