GH Get Ahead For Xmas 2018 magazine

Bought this magazine yesterday and really like it.

There's a couple of things that are on their calendar which are later than I'd do them.

The get ahead recipes are great though. All fairly straight forward and a lot of them are crowd pleaders so perfect for entertaining.

Has anyone else bought it?

Ok, I've been to Tesco, Sainsbury's, Eason and Spar and none have it.

When are we allowed to start talking about it?!?!?

I’ll have a look, but I'm thinking £12.99 is insane for a magazine.

I got mine in M&S. I love it! When can we talk about it and things we're going to do?

GH is £4.99. It was another which was £12.99. Even I wouldn't pay that much!

I definitely want to make some of the flavoured gins. I've got a few gin-obsessed relatives so if i can find some pretty, quite small glass bottles that will be a winner presents wise.

I want this, mainly because I'm not doing Christmas for the first time in 5 years, so I can smugly pick and choose what I can be bothered with, and what I can't be arsed faffing with.

I'm doing the bark and the semifreddo, as well as sausage rolls, Thai crab cakes and mince pies. Oh, and chicken and chorizo parcels!

Oooh the DC are back at school and nursery tomorrow so I might nip into WHSmith to get this to go with my Back To School coffee

I got mine in Smiths. Some yummy gin recipies I cant wait to try! Only half way through, the second half tonight as I have a blissful night to myself :)

I got mine today from WH Smith's. It wasn't with the other Good Housekeeping, it was with the 'seasonal' summer food mags.

Picked up my copy in WH Smith in Troon today - soooo happy!

I think it will be a while before I get my hands on it but I’m happy for everyone else to discuss it

I’ll pop into Waterstones tomorrow but I’m thinking they won’t have it for at least a few weeks if it’s only just come out.

I was reading Nigella Christmas in the garden today and perusing the recipes 🎄 🦌 ❄️ 🎅🏻

The rocky road from Nigella is amazing! As are the oaty / cranberry cookies.

I bought both Nigella's and Jamie's Christmas books second hand last year and love both of them!

Ngella's chilli jam is lovely too.

The prima one which is £12.99 has a pattern in it (for a blouse) so I think that's probably why it's so pricey, as you are paying for the pattern as well. I've got it but not read it properly yet.

Haven't seen the GH one yet. Looking out for it though!

I love my Nigella Christmas book.

There are loads of Jamie cooks Christmas type shows on More4. I can't see from my phone whether they're available or not. Might persuade DH he needs a night out with his friends on Saturday...
