GH Get Ahead For Xmas 2018 magazine

Bought this magazine yesterday and really like it.

There's a couple of things that are on their calendar which are later than I'd do them.

The get ahead recipes are great though. All fairly straight forward and a lot of them are crowd pleaders so perfect for entertaining.

Has anyone else bought it?

Fluffy - I bought the Irish Countrywomen’s Association Christmas book and Jamie’s book because of that thread! Jamie’s vegan gravy is epic by the way.

Jeez I never knew they did a Get Ready For Xmas one!!! I basically live for their December issue. I must find this magazine.

VivaJen I think other people suggested it as well but I definitely recommended the Irish countrywomans one. That thread was amazing....if damaging on the wallet.

Bought it today, loving it! So many great recipes. Beef stew and dumplings looks soooo good as an autumn recipe.

We have a weekend away in a different city, I will renew my search. I know it's only August but I want it now footstampy

@RuggerHug it was a brilliant recommendation! @NoWordForFluffy it's such a lovely book, there are lots of recipes (although I haven't tried any!) but I love the memories of Christmas from the members where they talk about getting the "Christmas Box" from the local grocer or going out to find the Yule log - it just makes you feel all cosy and Christmassy.

Found it!!! Have squirrelled it away for next week when I can enjoy it in peace!

Viva, I found it on Book People for £8, but it's sold out. I begrudge paying more now I've found that, so will keep looking!

Anyone managed to get it in ROI? If I mutter for fucks sake leaving another newsagents I fear it will be the first full sentence uttered from the buggy.

Best bet is a large Easons. All else failing you'll get it in the Dublin O'Connell St one. A decent newsagent should be able to order it in for you as well.

I did the rounds of my European capital the other day without success. I was well aware that Waterstones or the two other major bookshops could have ordered it for me, bjt I was too embarrassed to ask for it in mid-August Maybe in another month hahaha!!!
