HOW did we get past the 200 mark so fast? And only 12 Days until Christmas in July starts, for anyone who celebrates that.

I survived today! And I 'only' had 150 emails and 26 items of post. With today's emails and post I now only have 6 items of post left to deal with. My task list could look a bit better, but it's not hideous either (I do tend to keep on top of it!).

I may well be up-to-date by the end of the week. Maybe. 😁

I'm excited about Strictly, Mrs. I think I'm aware of / know about 2/3 of those, which is good for me! And I liked new Bake Off too, also surprising myself!

Sorry your mum had her appt cancelled. Horrible to psych yourself up for nothing. And good on you for doing so much for your parents; they're so lucky to have you.

My dad's currently waiting for heart bypass surgery. He's had it cancelled twice. He's surprisingly chipper considering.

Finished off cleaning my kitchen with a spiced Zolfora today and it reminded me Christmas is getting closer. I'm obsessed. And so is my DS's first birthday

Can I ask, what's people's Christmas 'thing?' Do you have a specific colour scheme, or are you tacky and proud?

Just getting into my sleeping bag - wake up is 6.30am as the arctic truck is due at 10.30 and all the gear needs to be moved half a mile once tents are down to meet the truck. And we’ve already done loads! (One boat went aground so the only 2 actual Scout leaders had to go sort that, so I had to organize the campsite with patrol leaders and take down a marquee that I’ve never taken down before!). It was long dark before we finished....

I may need to stop for a nap en route....

No need to worry about my alarm - the rain woke me up in plenty of time !

Typical that with all the gorgeous weather we've had, it's now broken for camp, Biddy! Though tents and very hot weather aren't the best combination!

In our lounge, I have a red and white Scandi theme. The kids have a tacky and proud (looks like someone has vomited Christmas up!) tree in the dining room, which is particularly special! 😂😂

When's your DS' 1st birthday, love? Why are you sad about it? I love our DCs' birthdays (though they zoom round a bit quickly!).

I love the Scandi designs , last year l bought Scandi embroidered cushions from Asda and l loved them , they will be my base for colour combo this year so red and green it will be!

That is me now finished work for the rest of the holidays!! I'm in Scotland though so only 3 weeks left, but I'm off 😄😄 hopefully sun will appear again!!

We usually have a wonderfully tacky Christmas decor. But this year we have a new family room off the kitchen (we have just completed an extension) so this will follow the Christmas tackiness and the main living room will have a more grown up Christmas theme!! I'm so excited we have more spaces to decorate this year!!

Had a very early lunch of lasagne as DD went to my aunt's, dropped DS2 off at Adventure. 😋

Picked DS2 up, had tomato and mozzarella pasta bake and garlic bread, DS2 will go to bed at 7.30. 😋🍅🍝😴

Evening all
Been up to the Parents for a birthday party for my step great niece aged 5 and my step neice was there with her other DS aged 8. They are like our own flesh and blood to us as we have known my Step neice since she was 10 , now 38!! She is my niece really but not by birth but it really doesn't matter. We had a lovely time. She was spoilt rotten lol as all little 5 yr old girls should be . We always buy for the other child too it is only fair as they are little and we don't want them to feel out of it. He is 8 yrs old and was getting fed up of it by the end he wanted to go on that damn game Fortnite ! We bought her, a girls star wars duvet cover (her brother is mad on it and we thought she would like to be the same as him) a book with her name in the title, sweeties , choc bars , paw patrol bubbles , hair/shower wash & foam spray soap, which l know she will have great fun with lol. I also bought her as a long shot a Harley Quinn doll and it went down a storm [grin} a Disney satchel & a Frozen decorate it yourself detangle brush. I was told off for buying too much but l figure they will be having money before long to go towards what they want to buy themselves and l will miss it then .
Hope everyone has had a lovely day we are celebrating the 50th anniversary of Dad's Army tonight and going to watch the first episode ever in a bit , as you can gather we love Dads Army so much! Phillip Madoc is blowing smoke in Cpt Mainwarings face as we speak lol , love it !

lovely here not too hot so far feels really fresh and light love it!
We were supposed to be going to Tenby today , DS doing Parents but DH has hurt his shoulder so the long drive would be awful for it . I am kept busy rubbing Voltarol on it lol
DD2 is a bit apprehensive re the tooth surgery tomoz but l am sure she will be fine they do 2/3 a day in this clinic so l think they must know what they are doing by now.
So am at a loose end atm but am looking for presents for the DD2 she is 23 on the 13th bless her .
