PerfectlySymmetricalButtocks · 06/06/2018 20:21

Thanks Mrs, I'm really fine, just worried how I come across to other people.

TheWoollybacksWife · 06/06/2018 20:22

MrsMad surely after your beef buggers you mean you are having a quickie and salad 😂

While I was pottering around town I popped into Home Bargains. I bought some lovely battery powered lights
here and some gorgeous glass tea light holders. I'm planning to use them to decorate the garden table for our BBQ but I did buy them with one eye on my Christmas table. The tea light holders were only 69p each Shock

Half 4 is pretty early! My alarm goes off at 5.15 and that's bad enough!

Another beautiful day here. We are going to be so disappointed when the weather turns!

Last day of work this week. Wooooo!

Morning! Mrs the DC are waking up at 5.30 every morning because of the light in their room. I'm going to have to start sending DD to bed at 7.40 so she gets enough sleep!

WheelyCote · 07/06/2018 08:09

Morning! Been a busy week...sitting with a cup of tea in bedGrin before I do a mad dash run around to get ready for work.

I'm off for a full weekend!!! Will start planning Christmas!!!! So exciting[santa]GrinGrin

NoWordForFluffy · 07/06/2018 08:56

We have blackout blinds combined with blackout curtains and they still let some light in. Thankfully 6.15 is the earliest they generally get up!

Sounds exciting, Wheely! Xmas Grin

PerfectlySymmetricalButtocks · 07/06/2018 09:59

Oh, they don't disturb me, I just get the overtired strops all the way to school. Hmm

NoWordForFluffy · 07/06/2018 10:21

I'd want to try to avoid those! Overtired kids are just irritating!

PerfectlySymmetricalButtocks · 07/06/2018 10:27

Hence trying to get them to bed earlier.

NoWordForFluffy · 07/06/2018 12:29

Hence having blackout blinds!

PerfectlySymmetricalButtocks · 07/06/2018 13:40

We have massive windows, but I'll look into it.

NoWordForFluffy · 07/06/2018 14:41

Have you seen the stick on ones like Gro Blinds? They're actually really good. And quite big! We swore by then before we got roller blinds.

WheelyCote · 07/06/2018 18:07

Bath have you a cellar? Cellars are very dark.....just saying😉

U shattered today?Thanks

FireflyGirl · 07/06/2018 18:27

We love our blackout stuff too. We have a gro blind and DH bought some stuff off the internet that reflects the heat back out as DS's room is on a south facility corner so gets the sun all day and it's been 23 degrees in there the last few, and that makes it dark as well.

June is when I start with the proper planning as well, Wheely.

PerfectlySymmetricalButtocks · 07/06/2018 18:56

No, we live in a cellar! In a basement flat.

PerfectlySymmetricalButtocks · 07/06/2018 19:04

I'll check out Gro Blinds Fluffy, thanks.

Picked the DC up, went to the Sainsbury's café, DS2 had cheese and tomato pizza, a jam doughnut and a slice of carrot cake, DD had cottage pie and peas and a chocolate chip cookie, I had lasagne and salad and an ice cream sandwich. 😋🍕🍩🍰🍪🍧

DS2 will go to bed at 7.30, DD will go at 7.40 if he's asleep. 😴

Internaljukebox · 07/06/2018 19:44

Evening all.. I miss out on all these chats while I’m at work ☹️... we have blackout blinds everywhere we are a family who like our darkness lol.. kids never had night lights etc, even now at bedtime every light is off! Woe betide anyone coming in late and turning one on!! No cooking tonight it’s kebab and salad as the boys are watching the England match.

WreckTangled · 07/06/2018 19:48

We have big windows too and used to have to use two gro blinds to cover the window. The dc are better now the blackout curtains work fine on their own.

PerfectlySymmetricalButtocks · 07/06/2018 21:08

I'm making a chocolate tray bake for the PTA cake sale tomorrow, they're also having a mufti day. 😋🍰👗👖👕
