Sat watching Christmas24 films that were recorded over Xmas......also have one of these melts in the go. Love the smell of this one. I bought a few packs 2 years ago from Home Bargains but they’ve never had them back in stock since. ☹️

I've not really done much today. But also haven't sat down much either. I'm not sure where it went wrong! 😂

Sally... l love Waterstones. l don't know what it is about that place they must have the psychological layout dead right in there , ours is just gorgeous, quite small but with a lovely childrens area and beautiful cards and stationary . l can never resist going in . It is like an addiction lol. I have thought about it and it is a bit Harry Potterish inside lol!
Wreck that is a beautiful snowman well done ! He has this expression on his face like he is just grinning and bearing it lol
Blacksmith not seen the Glade Pumpkin ones and not used Glade at all tbh , must give them a go thank you for the heads up will add them to my ever increasing list of things l want to find lol ,
Hope all ok it is starting the thaw here , DD2 managed to get into work, (Daddy took her ) we walked to town and did NDN shopping, some for us, no newsapers here thoughhmm am lost without my Saturday Mail Tv MAG lol! There was no bread left on the shelves , no cheese, milk, biscuits, fresh meat or cakes or ready meals , baked beans and soup! I was amazed! I mean it is all over bar the shouting! At least l don't think we are going to have any more snow gulp famous last words lol
It is a very nice time to be honest , everyone out is sledging and walking and happy, everyone saying Hello and a quip about the weather it is lovely. Lots of ppl helping the old folks out and it makes you feel part of a community , like we all come together when it really matters the human spirit of kindness is still there just under the surface.

Mrs that sounds quite lovely! I would love to be somewhere like that. We are quite isolated and there is no 'community spirit' here....I also wish we had more than 2cm of snow!!

We've thawed out now too. Ds kept checking on his snowman though! He's still there for now...

There were loads of people out in 4x4's rescuing people when it was bad here so that was nice. Our neighbour also got us cat food as we were running out

Ahhh Sally if only it was always like that lol.... I just picked up my DD2 from work and she said that 2 women were nearly coming to fisticuffs over a loaf of granary bread lol. Others have been in and bought 10 loaves of bread and DD2 thinks they are selling it on the black market mwahahahaha. I said they are prob doing their neighbours shopping for them and feeding the birds.
Wreck.... glad Mr Snowman is still going strong he looks great ! Lovely neighbour to get cat food for you too, now to just get them to eat it and not wander off with their nose in the air, if they are anything like our 2 (who were both strays and should still be grateful but inevitably aren't)

When we were out yest all the caffs and the pubs were chock a block with ppl enjoying a cuppa and watching the world go by (ppl watching l suppose). It is a fascinating sport lol!
Going for a walk later but am still in bed atm, no rush today. Have DD1 home again on Thursday , it is her 24th birthday on Friday and I can't wait to see her opening her pressies . l have to make a vegan cake for her , the last one l made was the best recipe so far, using coconut milk. I can't believe she is 24 OMG !!!!

MrsMad my DD1 will be the same age on her next birthday. I look at her sometimes and think 'I was married at your age - wtf was I thinking' although DH and I are very happy

Off now to get dressed ready to dig out the car and head off to church as there is a service for DS' school year. Our thaw is expected later this afternoon/overnight. ❄️

Am very happy with DH though l think he feels the same with me lol and it was what happened in the 80's. I blame Charles & Dianas wedding for a lot of it. Enjoy the church service l would be bursting with pride at DC year , probably cry too big wuss
Thaw has started here, main roads quite good , side roads still terrible but the next thing will be the floods! Right better shift bath first then off for a walk , l am strangely not wanting to go for a walk this morning l don't know why ......

Ohh I had the chicken and waffles last week, very good. It is one of the only places we take the boys, being able to get bread and salad and drinks immediately is very helpful!

We left the kids in bed and braved a 6 mile walk this morning. Beautiful snow covered North Yorkshire countryside - was cold and bracing! ❄️

Nearest TOYSRUS is in Cardiff l think. We used to go when the DC were little . They always had everything we could ever want , the girls loved it and it is a great shame. Yes Sprout. No iconic Christmas advert

Blacksmith the walk sounded lovely , we didn't go after because it was raining. I watched 'where eagles dare ' whilst the DD2 and Dh watched Rugby on BT sport. Nearly 3 hours later it had finished and it was such a great film . I knew it was great because l have seen it several times before but it was better than l recalled. Proper good guys v bad guys and the good guys won of course .

We have shed our snow, I had to drive in it last week ( work visits) and set off at a stupidly early time on Thursday to get to work.

I was so glad I got 4 new tyres last month

Easter plans now in sight, I have bought some bags ( £Shop) for the DC

(teens) they like a bag of various chocolate eggs from The Bunny , and DD will get some cosmetics/bath smells too.

Our Traditional Easter Film is "Hop" (Russell Brand is the voice of EB -Easter Bunny) very cheesy but fun film.

I haven't been to ToysRUs for years, it used to drive me barmy, the queues were so slow to process.

Morning!

Nose to the grindstone again today! And I took a break from the cross trainer last week as I had a cold, but back on it today. I do feel better when I've suffered done it, in reality!

I was organising our summer holiday to Yorkshire last night; looking at what to do and where to go. There's so much to do; thankfully some of it is free!

Now the kids are getting a bit older, they've more stamina to last a full day out, so we should be able to get our money's worth too, thankfully. (This will hopefully mean they'll sleep well too, ha ha!)

Eugh back to work and school today. The dc are super grumpy
