TheWoollybacksWife · 05/03/2018 14:33

Hairspray a little bit of adrenaline is a powerful motivator. Tight deadlines as good - no procrastinating Grin

Morning all! 🎄❄️🎄❄️

NoWordForFluffy · 06/03/2018 07:02

Morning!

Bit murky here today, though it's still early yet and apparently going to dry up from now. Just in time for me to head into my windowless office to work! 😂

Mrs, you're kept very busy. How did you ever have time to work?!

Hairspray, I agree with others that the adrenaline of needing to get organised quickly will push you through. It's potentially exactly what's needed so you do actually do it, rather than take too much time over it, IYSWIM? Have you got help to clear the house?

You'll soon be enjoying your new job, living in WB! Do you think you'll look for your own full place rather than a room once you're all settled in? And think of all the travelling you won't have to do now. It'll be great, I promise!

WreckTangled · 06/03/2018 07:28

Hairspray you can do this!

HairsprayBabe · 06/03/2018 08:36

ok so I have devised a plan

This week - pack a small amount of essentials for nottingham - bedding, kitchen stuff, clothes, towels - a few homely things so I don't feel like I am in a cell.

Sunday afternoon - move to new flat in nottingham

Wednesday - start new job

Friday - Sunday come back to birmingham, continue to pack non essential things for storage

w/c 19th - back in Nottingham, work in new job
Back in Brum for the weekend, more packing sorting and cleaning

Mid April move things into storage

End of April deep clean house and hand keys back

Start of May - Breathe!

Mrsmadevans · 06/03/2018 09:08

Morning all.
Snow is melting away quite well, river is slightly up so it is not causing the floods they mentioned thank God.
Fluffy that windowless office is not beneficial for you l am sure it is cruel beyond , l don't know how you can bear it but the only thing l can compare it with is when l worked on SCBU and the comaraderie and actual intensity of the job just meant you didn't notice it while you were working.I hope it is the same for you.
As for how did l find the time for work .....well, l am amazed at that too l don't know how l managed and towards the end of my working life it got very hard and l was severely stressed . I loved my job too but l just couldn't do it all. Mum and dad are my priority atm in time . It won't be like this forever so l make the most of it. I am not some sort of saint ,just that l couldn't have them in a home .That would be worse than doing what l do for them now iyswim.
Hairspray well done you have a plan!Grin (l love a plan)
Life will soon be much happier for you my dear and you have such a lot to look forward to , look after yourself .
Right l have again gone on Hmm am going for a long walk in a min and back this afternoon for the Ma & Pa to visit hopefully .
Stay safe everyone and take care .Have a great day .Smile

Sounds like a good plan, Hairspray! 😁

WreckTangled · 06/03/2018 18:09

Hairspray sorry I'm being dim. Are you moving to where the new job is? Were you planning on just staying during the week originally? I think it's great to have a plan and I wish you the best of luck Smile

I've hurt my (already bad) hip. It's so painful right now.

Dh brought some duck eggs back from work today. I don't like eggs but he dc are excited to try them.

SideOrderofSprouts · 06/03/2018 18:32

Evening

Hairspray that sounds like a plan!

NoWordForFluffy · 06/03/2018 19:17

How are the mini Sprouts doing, Sprouts?

HairsprayBabe · 06/03/2018 19:53

It'll be brilliant, Hairspray! I LOVE Nottingham and have boomeranged back and forwards to there a few times. It's where I went to law school, so I have very fond memories of it. 😁 #whathappensatlawschoolstaysatlawschool 😇

Gutted that Collateral has finished now. It was SO good, and brilliantly-cast. And there's still about a year until the next Line of Duty...I hope the Beeb comes up with another belter in the intervening period!

I have so much to do at work; I don't know where to start! Well, I do, but I've a number of things all as urgent as each other. Le sigh. It's a hard life (not really; it's all very first world problems!).

Mrsmadevans · 07/03/2018 07:55

Good morning everyone.
Wreck how is your hip lovely? hope you are in less pain today.
What about the duck eggs were they nice? Never had a Duck egg before. Sprout hope your DC are better my dear .
OMG Fluffy your job sounds so interesting. l know it is hard but so worthwhile helping ppl with their cases. The law is so scary and no ordinary person knows the foggiest about it . As for Collaterol, it was great, wish Sandrine had murdered the Colonel before she committed suicide though Grin. I so hope there is another crime drama too , Line of Duty was the stand out for me . I also really loved Broken with Sean Bean, l have never liked him before but he acted his socks off in that , well they all did to be fair.
Up the Ma & Pa's today , taking mum for an overhaul from the Gp , she is not looking forward to it but it has to be done!
Take care everyone have a good day !

My other one is hurting today ConfusedGrin have an office day today so should be able to rest it

NoWordForFluffy · 07/03/2018 08:13

Oh no, Wreck. Hope you're better soon!

Mrsmadevans · 07/03/2018 08:55

Wreck.. rest it up today love make the most of the office day. I have osteoarthritis in my hips l take lbuprofen when they are particularly bad. Is there anything you can take to help? I have also started Cod liver oil capsules since my vet told me to give it to my stray no 1 Cat Percy!
Percy can't take Metacam so he has a small capsule a day . He likes it and will lick it from a spoon! I don't like the fact it is made from many Cod livers though , l feel bad about them being used in this way like their lives mean nothing. I am very sensitive (it's a curse) and have to steer myself away from certain things because they play on my mind and l can't stop thinking about it. Get a grip Mrs! It's a fish!

Oh no wreck hope that you are feeling better after a days office rest.

I have had a lovely morning at the library with the DC, I can't seem to find any good books for myself though Envy followed by a lovely full english breakfast.....

FridgeCut · 07/03/2018 17:13

Hip sympathy from me! Do some physio exercises to help keep it moving.

Collateral was good, I really did enjoy it, which has been rare lately!

WreckTangled · 07/03/2018 17:31

Thanks everyone. Yes I have painkillers Smile fridge I knew you would literally feel my pain Wink

So nice to see the sun out this afternoon, it's been lovely.
