Hey ho I'm off to enlist the help of the magnificent MN admissions/appeals gurus.

12th seems quite hopeful to me Woolly.
When you think of ppl moving, having numerous offers and choosing somewhere else taken into account that is..... fingers crossed Woolly.
No snow yet , have fed the birds so much food they must be groaning, NDN is sorted too and Ma & Pa, hope it hurries up and comes !

Not much snow here. Settling a bit on the cars but that's it. 24 local schools closed for some unknown reason. The dc are at school.

I'm taking tomorrow off now. Merseyrail announced a reduced service because of the weather, and I can't be arsed to battle through it on a Friday, so a nice little day off it is!

We've got snow. It took us 90 minutes to get the dc from school and we crashed twice. Just minor luckily in the rand scheme of things

I picked DS up from school early and he has had a lovely afternoon killing storm troopers with DH

In better news we have either exchanged contracts today or we will do it tomorrow. The lovely MN school gurus have said this will affect our place on the waiting list 🆙 so that's a positive note.

Fluffy we kept sliding down a hill my car is only three months old but I think it's ok. We got wedged on a bank/wall. It was scary. Crashes everywhere and everyone sliding on the main roads too

Great news from the MN school gurus Woolly yay!
Weather here is now very bad , there is about 5 inches of snow outside and the wind is very strong. It has gone from the sublime to the ridiculous and I can see why they warned us about it so much. We are going to keep the stray cat in tonight because it is so cold . I am prepared for the aftermath in the kitchen tomorrow morning lol!

Completly fell off this thread thanks to crappy real life, did manage to see a poster in a shop window and said to DH, "oh my I have to take a pic of this for my MN christmas people" He walked off shaking his head in shame, I am yet to turn him from the grinch.

Ooh I have just learnt to crochet too, forgot about wooly hugs I have a few squares I can send off.

It's so windy; I can't sleep. 😢😢 There wasn't any snow when we came up to bed though. We're forecast some overnight, however, but we shall see!

Morning all!
Been a very disturbed night for us , the cats have been right pita, squabbling in the kitchen while locked in together, so we bought Percy up to bed and he has woken us up x 4 . Tonight we will lock Shaky the stray in the kitchen and Percy can have the run of the house except our bedroom. Percy did use the tray in the hall though and Shaky didn't perform at all so at least it is still a clean house and not a cat toilet lol!
There is a lot of snow on the road outside the house and l don't think we will be able to get the car out. It doesn't matter to us but the poor people on the news some have been stuck for hours and hours . I am going to have a quiet day in , DH is going to cook a gravy dinner and we will just man the fort , check out NDN, ring round the family and make sure all are ok, feed the birds like hell , l have tins of cat food to open for them and 2 tubs of pate left over from Christmas that l kept till now for exactly this reason. Plus the usual nuts, fat balls and seeds in the feeders so they will be fine . I was worried about their drinking and bathing water because of the frozen water but my DH said they will drink the snow and bath in the snow but l have just read now it takes them a lot of calories in their body to melt the snow in their bodies , aw bless them l didn't realise, l will get hubbs to sort the water baths out asap .

Hi Nick thank you for the pic lol and very well done on the woolly hugs , my DM has been making these too, they are easy for her to make with her bad arthritis because they are small squares and not heavy for her to hold. It is great for her to feel she is still able to help others. Right l am off to get DH to sort out the bird baths now!

Oh my, it's cold out!

Decided against walking home from town after walking in. DS is at speech therap with DH so I've come to wait for them to get a lift home!

It sounds like you had an eventful night Mrs! I bet stray cat was delighted to have a bed for the night!! I decided to try and get DS to stay in his own bed last night and only have 1/2 feeds ...it was not a success and I am exhausted! Lots of & today and I will get DH to light the fire early!!

Fluffy l don't blame you getting a lift from DH it is perishing out BRRRRR!
Sally you had to be here last night it was like a circus lol stray cat never moved from the chair we put him on , (l am sure he did but he was in the same position we left him in when we went to bed lol). Bless you Sally try and have a chill out today sometime if you can .
