Morning all!

We break up on the 19th, one day better than last year when we broke up on the 20th.

We break up on the Thursday, so 20th. The Friday is an inset day. The kids will be at the same school again, so it'll be unified as per 2016 when they were both at preschool together! The school finished on 20th last year too, but preschool was 14th as it always has 3 weeks at Christmas.

No idea when we break up for Christmas, the school calendar only runs until the end of the school year.

Last year Wilf finished on the 15th, this year the 21st, no inset days for us! Gabe has started doing two mornings of pre-school this week. By Christmas he will be doing 22 hours I think. That will be nice, Christmas shopping during the week... alone!!!! I can craft, I can plan, I can prep... alone! OOh I have chills.

Our school has the current and next year's term dates on the website all the time. It's very handy.

Perfect I remember you saying about your DS having CF and related Diabetes now, aw bless him hope they get him sorted and he is able to come home very soon. I nursed a lot of children with CF when l worked on the kids ward, they had such trouble keeping their weight up bless them. They used to dread the scales for different reasons to me !
Made cheesy jacket pots, coleslaw and cheese and bacon quiche for Ma & Pas lunch , they really enjoyed it too. I like to have them for their lunch once a week at least.
No idea when the children are off here for Christmas but it is such a fab time of the year all the parties and pantos and carol concerts .... I can't wait l am in the mood again now lol. The mention of pantos has made me think I need to book up will go and have a look now. Just finished a great book too called The Binding Song by Elodie Harper , very easy to read and unputdownable to boot

I've not even thought about the term dates, though mine are teens (DD will be 6th Form and DS -hopefully- at Uni by Christmas) they'll just lie in bed anyway while DH and I get up and into work.

There will be the deciding who will be on leave over the festive period (I usually work between Chris/New Year but I like a few days leading up to Christmas) , its a Tuesday this year, so I might take the week , I don't want to work Christmas Eve .

DD won't have to do Christmas Jumper Day again ( Yr 11 are far too cool for that sort of malarky)

I cut back loads in the garden , mainly dogwood and ivy so they should spring back with a vengance. I love the dogwood and the Boston Creeper in Autumn.

My work closes over Christmas. Last year was the first year they did it (I started in October). We are closed for 3 days and they give us one of those days off, we then have to use two days of our own. I won't be working on Fridays by then, so will just have to use one day. We are opening on NYE, but I booked it off as soon as they announced the plans. Not because I do anything, but I just want the entire period off so I can be flexible about when we go to see my parents over the Christmas holiday.

Mine are still playing outside! So lovely and sunny, need to think about dinner.

Oh, if only I could have got them to put clothes on and go outside!

Mine came in about 20 mins' ago! It's been gorgeous today.

I've got all of our plants in the poly greenhouse and mown the lawn today. Proper spring day! I've covered the plants with fleece now, so hopefully they won't get too cold overnight!

DD went to bed at 6, I've got their clothes all laid out for tomorrow, DD's got her new Pokemon t-shirt and hoodie to wear. 😴👕👖
