Why are you getting up early to go to McDonalds? I'd rather lie in (not that we ever do, but at least not rush about to get dressed etc!) and have breakfast at home!

Because it's an incentive to get up early. They go back to school on Monday. 😆

Ive told mine they're not allowed to disturb us before 7:30 in the morning. We will find it hard getting up Monday, as I've been off work too we've not been getting up until 8ish and we usually have to be out of the door then!

Ahhhh. We went back last Monday. They get up early all the bloody time anyway! 💤💤

We went down the Goldcliff again this morning , did 3 miles, it was glorious . Lots of walkers out.The weather has been so lovely and sunny. It is such a treat
Popped to the Matalan sale and bought 2 prs of leggings , a long sleeved striped shirt, a tee shirt and a pr of childrens pj's for 19.25 , l showed them to the DD2 and she claimed the lot except the kids pj's .It is the clearance shop in Newport it had a further 30% off the sale price of everything in the store so l had a good look. I could have bought the shop up but must stop the clutter
DH has been using the gardening tools he bought from Aldis and is very pleased with them so far so good...
Hope all well enjoy the rest of tonight, going to watch Casualty with a nice cuppa char in a bit, how the other half live

It was a lovely day today wasn't it? I spent the afternoon with my sister, niece and nephew in the park then out for tea. Am now drinking tea and pairing up socks. DH is Home tomorrow night and I'm already despairing of the mess and noise he's going to bring with him. I have missed him though, honest!

I got some washing on the line on Saturday and my guinea-pigs out for a graze.

Took DD to Bluewater and nearly bought a red handbag (they do nice non-leather ones, I'm a picky vegetarian )
I will treat myself to the bag (its our Wedding Anniversary soon) red will be nice for Christmas too.......................

We put our washing out all year round. It's nice when you know it's going to get fully dry though! We had a load out in the lovely sunshine too! ☀️☀️☀️

Dh's turn for a lie in and the dc didn't wake up until 7:30 looks like rain today.

It's started sunny here, but we have conflicting forecasts for later. The BBC app says dry until tonight and the Met Office one says rain from 11. So we shall see!

DD has an outdoor birthday party to go to, so I'm hoping the BBC is right!

Grey and misty here. In McDonald's, DS2 had a bacon roll meal, DD had a bacon roll because deep-fried hash browns make her heave, I had a sausage, egg and cheese bagel meal. ☁😋🍳

Good morning, I have been reading this thread over the last few days and wondered if it was too late to join you?? I need some Christmas kin!! ... it was so foggy and dull yesterday afternoon I did suggest to dh that I might put on some Christmas tunes and pretend it was December! Don’t think he was impressed x

Had to wake the dc up this morning at seven ds was very grumpy. Back to work I go....

Re Christmas I find buying for my dc and dh so easy even my parents are easy but I find my grandparents and aunts etc so hard. I said last year I didn't think I could afford it so could I contribute to the food instead and my aunt said 'oh just get us a box of matchmakers' but I would rather get no gift than a £1 one!

We got DS' school place confirmed today. Both of my children will be in school come September. I'm not sure where that time went! Having them close together seems to make time go much faster, I think, as he's only 13 months' behind DD.

It's going to get warm this week. Hopefully my garden will really leap into action now!
