I dont know how or why but I fell into sorting out my cupboard chaos of doom today, I was able to retrieve and count 15 rolls of xmas paper some from years back lost to webs and darkness.
I chucked away with great delight the old stamp set I purchased to try and type DC names on FC stuff, until I found printed orders with names and im trying to work out what to do this xmas. I feel ..xmassy

The knickers are lovely, Mrs! Does she have matching bras? I was very much into matching undies at her age. Now I settle for 'close enough'! 😂😂

If anyone is near a still open Toys R Us, I got a roll of 5m extra wide paper (cartoony reindeer design) for 90p today!

Have you decided on the flexible time what day are you going to have off? I know the extra money is welcome but the extra day off will be lovely for you all as a family.

I'm not dropping hours, Mrs, I'm condensing 5 into 4, so 35 hours over 4 days.

Sounds like your DD isn't bothered about matching bras then, which is no bad thing!

Fluffy I did that and chose a Friday off, I love it! It gives me a chance to do housework/food shopping/see friends etc

I ran it past my manager today as I can't apply for another couple of weeks and she's fine with it, so I'm sure it'll be a goer. Can't wait! I condensed at my old place while on secondment, but they wouldn't let me when I got back, which is part of the reason I left!

Went to see DM, then we both went to see DS1 in hospital. He's put on weight on his feet! Very odd! Got back around 7, had chicken korma, in bed now. 😋🍗😴

Morning. Friday...whoooooo!

Any plans this weekend? We are having lunch tomorrow sans children as it's our 10 year anniversary! Then DD has a party on Sunday and we are having dinner at Pizza Express in the afternoon as we all have a free pizza because we downloaded their app.

I might try to get the kids to the squirrel woods on Sunday morning, but we shall see!

Perfect have I missed somewhere along the line that your DS1 is in hospital? I am so sorry. l am either suffering with dementia not joking l cannot remember words when l speak, looked it up it's called aphasia but not necessarily dementia phew! or l have missed that when you said . Hope DS1 and his fat feet and very much on the mend

I think Wreck and I were having a conversation about insulin pumps, DS1 is 27 and has cystic fibrosis and CF-related diabetes, which is similar to T1, his tubes are blocked, so he can't produce insulin. He's in hospital right now for a secondary chest infection. He seems to put on weight straight away when he's in there, because they make him have his night feeds, also he tucked into beef and mushroom stroganoff while we were there. 😆 I took him some Graze lemon and blueberry oat squares, because he's a fussy bugger but he likes both lemon and blueberry, there small and they're 25% fat. 😆

I dip in and out on here until around September time (when I’m on most days!!) but just popped on to say hello. DS & I are watching Arthur Christmas - it’s baby DD’s first viewing - and I made the mistake of sending a photo of this to DH and my Mum. Cue cries of “Bloody hell, its only April!”
So I’ve come on here to be in the company of those who understand

DF came, we had lunch in the Sainsbury's café, he had steamed cod, new potatoes and peas, I had chicken and mushroom pie, mash, peas and gravy, the DC are back. 😋🐟🍗🍄

I think it’s a combination of booking a Christmas pantomime this week and the weather being so cold and having to cosy up indoors - I just felt festive! Those who judge just don’t know what they’re missing

Anyone else miffed that the kids break up so close to Christmas this year? I think they only get like two days off and then it hits. I've got two weekends booked up in December, I need to book in a Christmas shopping trip and a tree getting trip. Feels like everything is going to be stuffed in and not long to get done after they break up.
