And I keep getting a weirdly fast heart, quite disconcerting that whole thing has been! Seems to be happening less now, so that's good.

WreckTangled · 07/04/2018 19:22

Heart palpitations etc are always disconcerting but I don't think they're usually anything to worry about. I'm pleased you're getting about well Smile I've walked a fair bit in the last two days (maybe four miles all together) and I'm in agony. That plus sleeping on a cot bed mattress on the floor last night Hmm

NoWordForFluffy · 07/04/2018 22:43

I'm glad you're improving, Fridge. I've had episodes of palpitations and they're disconcerting to say the least. I hope you're back to full fitness soon.

I react badly to local anaesthetic, I discovered during my 2 c-sections. 🤢 🤢🤢🤢🤢 as a dog afterwards and really not right during either. I can only imagine what I'd be like after a GA.

I've only got more one day off until I'm back to work. Booooooo! Where did those 11 days go?!

Morning!

The children thankfully slept until past 7 today, though DS came in with us overnight and was moaning on and off about something, so we had disturbed sleep. Neither of us can remember what it was about though!

Not much planned for today really, thankfully. The kids go back to preschool / school tomorrow, so will keep it low key as they're still a bit tired from the lack of sleep which happens in hotels!

PerfectlySymmetricalButtocks · 08/04/2018 09:03

Morning! DS2's playing Minecraft in our room, DD's playing Minecraft in their room, I'm in bed drinking coffee. 😋Brew

The tachycardia following hip surgery usually means they’ve flooded my system with toxins from my hip during surgery, it’s a known complication apparently. Nice.

I was sick before, during and after my c-section. It was blinking horrendous. I told her them this and they didn’t use any gas to put me out and gave me anti emetics throughout and after. Helps I am ex-nhs staff and was treated as staff as my surgeon wrote it on everything!! Here is your side room madam...

Wreck you poor thing!!! Sleeping on the cot mattress does not sound good!!

rocketgirl22 · 08/04/2018 09:39

Where are the christmas posts? I need cheering up!

NoWordForFluffy · 08/04/2018 12:25

I needed two lots of antiemetics before I stopped 🤢🤢🤢 after DS! Hideous. Poor sausage got covered in my sick at a few hours' old. Oops.

I suppose at least it's a known issue, Fridge. It would be worse, I think, if you were a medical mystery!

Rocketgirl, we talk about everything on this thread as we are only counting down. There's a prep thread which is a touch more Christmassy though!

FridgeCut · 08/04/2018 13:48

We are going to use Christmas napkins today as I have overlooked buying normal ones...

HandbagCrazy · 08/04/2018 15:01

Fridge welcome back. I hope you're feeling ok (sickness aside of course).
I've never been sick after GA but I did have a lot of confusion after an op a few years ago and couldn't quite place how I knew DH Blush

Mrs I've just come back from a walk - the rain seems have slowed to a drizzle and the cold air has blown away the cobwebs.

While DH is away, I've decided to practise the art of self- care so I'm making sure I have lots of sleep, fresh air and a balance between work / housework / time alone to recharge & seeing people / being busy.

Speaking of which, rocket, you'll be happy to see that I couldn't reach the mugs DH had helpfully places at the back of the top shelf so I'm using my Christmas mug for my cuppa. I've attached a pic which will helpfully help - I too find Christmas prep & reading the Christmas board cheers me up 🎄

Come one come all .Welcome everyone . It’s countdown to Christmas 2018!
WreckTangled · 08/04/2018 15:09

Oh no fridge yuck! Yeah it wasn't great I'm
Still in pain today Hmm

I'm not sure what to do for Christmas visits this year as we're going to lapland I don't think we will bother with a visit to Father Christmas. I think we will do Longleat Festival of Lights without the Santa train and that's probably the only thing we will pre book. I think this year will be dds last year of believing Sad

Mrsmadevans · 08/04/2018 15:12

Morning!

Back to work today, but chose not to go in early, even though overtime is still apparently available. I couldn't cope with a 5am start on my first day back after 11 days! 😂😂

How is everyone?

Woolly, is the house all sorted now?

Mrsmadevans · 09/04/2018 07:17

Morning all.
Fluffy, l don't blame you not doing O/T today omg that would take such dedication and determination and some would say you were mad Xmas Grin. l feel exhausted even thinking about you doing it. Hope you are not too busy today . Have a good walk lunchtime .
Just been watching BBC breakfast news and Jacks Thomas who is the director of the London book fair was on , she looked amazing , I loved her outfit and her hair and make up such a classy lady. l am not gay Xmas Grin just Xmas Envy
We are up early , going for a lovely walk we have missed them this last week . We tend to not go far when the DD1 is home from Uni and the weather has been a bit meh!
Just going to have a cuppa and bath and then off.
Take care all.

WreckTangled · 09/04/2018 07:33

Fluffy I don't blame you!

Enjoy your walk Mrs Smile

It's raining here. Might go and see my grandparents today, last week of the Easter holidays, typically it looks like the weathers going to be lovely next week!

NoWordForFluffy · 09/04/2018 07:39

Downside to going later is a much busier train, but I got a seat (facing forwards!) so all is good!

It's misty here, but will be gorgeous once it's burned off. We are going to start hardening our tomato plants off now the daytime temps are predicted to be double figures from now our. Our bedroom is rather triffid-like with everything hanging about, so we need to get them outside in the next couple of weeks.

I got some more seeds sown over the weekend, so we shall see how they get on. The sun today should hopefully start them off nicely!

Mrsmadevans · 09/04/2018 08:08

Thank you Wreck need to shift my bum and get ready for walk. Have a lovely day with your GPS ,you will all be spoilt l hope Smile
Fluffy my DH has trays of seedling pots around the house, l did have a go at him yesterday when l discovered he had shoved my best ornaments to one side very precariously balanced on top of the printer!!!!!! Not amused , usually l am not so precious but the plate is question was left to me by my very lovely elderly friend and l am a bit protective over it .
Have a great day all !

NoWordForFluffy · 09/04/2018 19:49

Our plants are driving me a bit mad now.

The stacking delicate things in ridiculous places sounds exactly like something my DH would do to be honest!

I'm knackered after a looooong day at work. But 148 (plus 30-ish new ones today) emails and about 30 pieces of post later, I've broken the back of the accumulated stuff. I should be on top of it again by the end of the week. I hope!

SideOrderofSprouts · 09/04/2018 21:15

Evening all

Bought my first Christmas presents today

NoWordForFluffy · 09/04/2018 21:31

Well done, Sprouts!

I've only done stocking bits really. I'm holding off on 'actual' presents until the kids have a clue what they want!

SideOrderofSprouts · 09/04/2018 21:33

I think these were more stocking bits to be fair.

I bought two sets of lip balms from
B&m whilst I’m in the mainland on holiday.

I’m over with the kids again in October so plan to do a fair bit then

HandbagCrazy · 09/04/2018 22:08

Where do you live sprouts? I'm intrigued by you being on the mainland!

I've had a cracking headache all day so haven't dont anything remotely useful today (apart from making myself look busy at work) and I'm just about to go to bed and hopefully wake up fresh tomorrow.

I feel like I'm missing a trend with the talk of plants. I can't make things grow - I have a cactus that I've had for a few years that I re-potted last summer and plan to re-pot again this year to allow it to hopefully grow some more, and a few herbs and that's it. All things that need minimal attention. I'm jealous of your green fingers!

Osopolar · 10/04/2018 07:02

Hope you feel better soon fridge and wreck Cake

The first stocking filler has arrived here, that's as far as I have got though. DH has suggested Center Parcs for Christmas though, anyone been at Christmas?
