We break up on Wednesday but I've got a training day on Thursday.

It is grim and miserable here Sad

WreckTangled · 24/03/2018 16:15

We don't break up until Thursday either, we're in Sussex

TheWoollybacksWife · 24/03/2018 16:47

Sorry I also meant to say Welcome Curly Smile don't just lurk - jump in and post as much as you want. This thread (and Woolly Hugs) are the friendliest corners of MN (in my humble opinion) - all are welcome.

NoWordForFluffy · 24/03/2018 16:53

Oops, yes, hi Curly!

Not so grim up north today it seems! We've been gardening today, getting the poly greenhouses ready for putting plants in and potting my seedlings on. I love this time of year! 🌱🌱🌱🌱

Wow fluffy I am so impressed with your gardening. I always have good intentions and then dont do anything about them! It is a real shame as my best childhood memories are in my grandparents veg garden Grin

That's really crappy Woolly - dont take it on board. We all do what we think is best for our children. My Dad was given a lot of stick for me going to a "posh" school at secondary but it was great...and I find it very useful to put on my "posh voice" when the occasion arises!!

Totally ignoring this talk of girlfriend/boyfriend....DD is only 7 and i am in denial that she will be grown up one day!!

Mrsmadevans · 24/03/2018 22:23

I could have sworn l posted this morning Hmm ....losing it !
Anyways .....hope all are well and looking forward to Easter. DD1 will be home Thursday for 10 days so that will be wonderful !
Am very impressed with your garden Fluffy well done my dear !
Welcome Curly join in sweetie we are a friendly group .
Been a busy day , been shopio for Ma & Pa and ourselves and NDN.
Then home to watch the Boat Race Grin
Night everyone sweet dreams Smile

Morning! I like the clocks going forwards: the kids have slept past 7 for the first time in ages (I've no idea what's got into them this year; they used to reliably get to past 7, but not these days!).

I've been awake since 6.30 as I need a wee (refusing to go yet though! 😂).

Our hairdresser is coming today, thankfully. Not sure what we will do after that. Maybe go to the park across the road for a bit. We shall see!

Osopolar · 25/03/2018 07:23

I also love the clocks going forward, lie in until 7 Grin had a lovely day yesterday in Bristol with my brother. Have boring stuff like food shop to do today.

NoWordForFluffy · 25/03/2018 07:32

Our two are up now. Great! 😂

Mrsmadevans · 25/03/2018 08:08

Morning! Same here! DS2 usually wakes up around 6, sometimes earlier, he came in sometime after 7. DD's away, but will probably wake up around 8.30.

DS2's in our room for WiFi, I'm in bed drinking coffee. 😋☕

WreckTangled · 25/03/2018 08:40

I got up about ten minutes ago. I think dd was awake about half seven and ds about eight. Dh is working again today so I need to entertain the dc. Might go to the local farm park. Have some bananas that need us in so will make a banana cake later.

NoWordForFluffy · 25/03/2018 08:47

I've got bananas to make a cake with too, Wreck!

WreckTangled · 25/03/2018 08:51

I usually do a loaf but I'm considering cupcakes instead. Maybe with some chocolate chips in too!

TheWoollybacksWife · 25/03/2018 09:46

Now I want cake Sad

I'm currently having my oven cleaned there are some ominous scraping noises coming out of the kitchen so I will be using it very carefully for the next two weeks. I want to leave it pristine for the new home owners.

NoWordForFluffy · 25/03/2018 11:20

I'm not sure what I'm doing. I make small muffins with chocolate chips for the after-school snack but we've loads of those. I did a loaf recently, so would like to find something else. I'll have a Google!

Xmas Grin

Happy Rudolph Day

DH and I went to the gym (after I'd fed the guinea-pigs who are now back in their Pighouse)

Got back, DD still half asleep (she was out last night) demanding coffee
DS is wandering about whittering on in his PJs and making vague mutterings about course work for exams.

Life with teens is easier WRT waking you up at 6am , I don't miss that side of parenting .

Lazy day here , start on dinner in a while and make Lists for DH for next week (tidy garden

NoWordForFluffy · 25/03/2018 12:17

Ooh. Rudolph day! Nothing Christmassy being done here! 😂

I chose this banana cake. I got to use my new measuring cups for the first time!

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 25/03/2018 13:05

I have a mini Sainsbury Taste the Difference Christmas Pudding that is just pleading with me to eat it.

Best Before date end of March 2018 so I'll oblige it (no idea how long I've had it for Xmas Confused

That'll do for Rudolph Day !

WreckTangled · 25/03/2018 13:25

We're back. I love cows!

Cute cows!

We're off to Shugborough estate on Thursday, we've decided, as a stop-off en route to my parents. There's a farm there, with some long-horned cows apparently.

TheWoollybacksWife · 25/03/2018 17:52

Have you been to the local (to here) farm park Fluffy? They have stuff on over Easter weekend - usually an Easter Egg hunt as a minimum. Mine loved it there when they were small - the rabbits and guinea pigs are so cute. There may even be some lambs - I still go with work and they let everyone have a turn at bottle feeding them.

It is amazing at Christmas as they have the animals in the barn and costumes for the little ones to dress up to do a Nativity play with a real donkey and sheep.

SallyDog · 25/03/2018 18:32

Woolly if I am thinking correctly then I had my fifth birthday part there Grin!

My DDs went for their first swim today...brrr....

TheWoollybacksWife · 25/03/2018 18:39

Sally that looks beautiful - if a little chilly. Your DD looks adorable. The one thing I miss living here in the Midlands is the sea, although the nearest seaside to where I grew up was Southport and it was rare to see more than a glimpse of the sea on the horizon there. Grin It's a blooming expedition to get to the seaside from here.

NoWordForFluffy · 25/03/2018 19:18

We don't see the sea here, Woolly, you're right! 😂😂 I've lived here a decade and seen it in only a handful of times. Too funny!

I've not been to that farm park, no. I'll look it up.

Sally, you're braver than me. Waaaaay too cold for that malarkey!
