Morning all!

Morning. Today is my day off and I volunteered to help on a school trip 😭 so tired. Luckily my friend is also coming and we've got a delicious M&S picnic. Tonight I've got a spa evening with my best friend

I think the school trip depends on the age. Reception are a nightmare, yr5 showed some shocking behaviour! I gave DD a real lecture afterwards.

It's reception! There's only 16 in the class though and I think there's at least five adults going. It's our local farm park so we've been there loads. Hoping it's ok!

You need . I spent all day shouting "Girls, back to Miss X! Boys, back to Miss X!" every 2 minutes.

So this morning DS treated us to a lie in but then removed his nappy and pooed in his cot

Eek Oso . My DS (now 18) is a skinny beanpole , at Nursery he used to wiggle out of his nappy because the tapes were tough to fasten on his tiny waist .

My DH announced "Your cake is still in here" from Christmas , maturing in the cupboard.
So if its ok, it'll get some marzipan and icing for Easter. (I'll sample it later)

Oh Oso! Gabriel does this on occasion. I ended up putting him back in sleepsuits and jamming him in a backwards sleeping bag!

I'm back! So tired but I was this morning too. The children were all well behaved and it actually went really quickly.

I'm exhausted. It's been a long week / month! Only 3 more working days to go before my holiday though. Phew!

Dealt with all but one of my court deadlines for when I'm off today, so that's something. Still bloody LOADS to do, however!

I'm not sure what I'm doing this weekend yet. Definitely some gardening, but not much else planned really.

I could fall asleep...

I'll make a great MIL. I like ironing and wine - just like my MIL and she is fabulous

She's a sweet young lady - they've been friends since they were toddlers and her mum is my best friend. It is hilarious to listen to DS and his friends. They all say 'Oh so and so are boyfriend and girlfriend' but in reality they are 10 and 11 and the "couples" barely look at each other never mind anything else.

No school news yet. We complete on our new house this week. I don't know if there is likely to be any waiting list movement but I'm assuming if we don't hear anything soon then that's that for the waiting list. Appeals have to be in just after the Easter holidays. We have an appointment to view at W and I need to ring P to see if we can have a look and discuss admissions. I got a bit of stick about "being posh" (I really am not) at pick up time today from one of the other parents so I'm feeling a bit sensitive about it. Between that, the house move and my DM fading fast I'm bitterly regretting giving up wine for lent.

My mil is great hopefully I will be a nice one! no one will ever be good enough for ds

Back from the Next sale after buying the bits I couldn't get online (mostly a sunsafe suit in the next size up for DS).

My hairdresser has had to cancel due to a poorly baby...scruffy-looking me for the duration! 🙈

Morning! DS2 dropped Bear down the loo, so he has to have Dirty Bear until Newly Clean Bear's dry. 🚽🐻

In the Sainsbury's café, DS2's having a kids' breakfast with extra bacon, I'm having smoked salmon and scrambled eggs. 😋🍳🐟

I don't often post on here although I read the thread every morning while eating my breakfast but Wooly your post about your DS and his girlfriend really resonated. My DD is 10 (11 in May) and her and her boyfriend just celebrated their one year anniversary! He writes her lovely cards, gave her lovely gifts for Christmas, Valentines and their anniversary but I've never actually seen them spend any proper time together. I mentioned in passing to their class teacher that they were boyfriend and girlfriend and she'd not noticed anything!

Hope everyone has a lovely weekend. We (Fife) don't break up for the Easter hols until Thursday (cutting it fine!) so plodding on but it's a lovely Spring day which is lifting my heart and making me think of planning some fun activities.

Has everyone else got a gorgeous spring day going on? Bit chilly in the wind, but lovely and sunny! ☀️
