Morning! Already almost light this morning, though that'll change next week when the clocks go forwards! It'll definitely be light at my usual getting up time, however. 😁

Bit chilly still, but thankfully any trace of snow went yesterday.

We had washing on the line overnight as it was dry and breezy. Should be dry early doors today. We got loads dry over the weekend, and we've started the week with it all put away too, which is my preferred status!

Our roads are like sheet ice. Not looking forward to trying to get to the main road.

We've escaped ice too. Looks like we've been lucky!

Off to Cardiff Bay and then Ikea .
Am refusing to let the ice and snow interfere with our plans , fool lol.
DD1 got to placement fine last night and is now safely ensconced in bed so we can rest easy phew!

DC's bus said too icy to come so I had to drive them to school before work. Made me late but no problem.

How is everyone? Who is most prepared for Christmas? Savings are doing well and I have cards and wrapping paper but that is it here. Usually I really get going once we are in midsummer and I start wanting to be cold again whereas at the moment I am desperate for spring.

Just checking out M&S for food for Easter, anyone going down that route? In laws will be staying but it will only be five of us in total but I have been won over by the convenience

I am going to be on crutches for Easter (and Wilf turning 5, and his birthday party and the whole of half term....) so think we will rely on others doing Easter for us. I haven't even made hot cross buns yet!!

Yes definitely Fridge, make sure to rest up! I used to make hot cross buns before having a toddler but now buy them. Since having DS i have spent far too much money on convenience

I can't be bothered making hot cross buns! I alternate between domestic goddess and utter slattern!

It's only us for Easter, so not making a big deal of it.

I've never tried baking in this oven, I don't think it heats evenly. Would I have hot cross buns only risen on the left?

Could you turn them round half way through baking buttocks?

You know what, some answers are so bloody obvious, you want to kick yourself! Why didn't I think of that?

I find it often takes asking someone else Buttocks. Hopefully now your hot cross buns will also be perfectly symmetrical

Have not done much for Christmas so don't worry , am trying to stop myself and give money instead because the dining room is like a pigsty with the presents because I buy too much

Went to the Bay & Ikea had a good look and bought nothing , this must be a first for me but there was nothing that caught my eye.
DD2 has a hole in her bottom back tooth and is in agony. Managed to get her a dentist appt and she has to be referred to the oral surgeon to get it taken out I am full of sympathy . I hate the dentist so much, I even hate her having to go it fills me with dread eeeekkkk!

It is mrsmad :) We went to the Cardiff IKEA the other week and spent all our money so I am impressed with your restraint! Your poor DD though that really sucks :(

Ahhh Ceebs I seem to find it difficult to call you anything other than Ceebs , you are doomed to be called Ceebs by me forever . DD is pain free after 2 cocodamol and 2 lbuprofen thank God. We are watching Only Connect ......l am not very good at it lol
