40andFat · 22/12/2017 16:39

HeadDreamer · 22/12/2017 16:46

Just under £150 from Ocado. Also 4 of us. Not too bad at all OP.

wendz86 · 22/12/2017 16:48

I’ve been buying bits over the weeks like wine etc so shop coming tonight is only £60 and I had a £12 off voucher . I’m only hosting Christmas Eve - Christmas morning but am doing puddings for Christmas Day .

ihavetogoshoppingnow · 22/12/2017 16:51

I spent £140 in Aldi last week (inc usual shop of around £90) £85 in Morrisons for turkey, booze and other bits, then £95 in Aldi today that will last us till next Friday

Flibbertyjibbit · 22/12/2017 17:01

£99 @ Sainsburys
£45 @ M&S
£23 @ Cheese shop
This is for 4 adults for 6 days, including a birthday next week. Alcohol & cleaning things included.

Arrowfanatic · 22/12/2017 17:29

Not entirely sure as its been bought over the last few months. Probably £150 ish.

mumof2sarah · 22/12/2017 17:32

Just do my normal monthly shop and it was only £20 more for any Christmas bits, inc bottle of prosecco x

RatOnnaStick · 22/12/2017 17:35

I spent £75 today for 4 people but we aren't catering Monday or Tuesday so it isn't much different to normal really barring a few goodies.

Sevendown · 22/12/2017 17:38

Spent £150 so far. That’s not including any of the birds or alcohol!!

EmmaGrundyForPM · 22/12/2017 17:40

We've just had an Ocado deliver - £213.00. That included some alcohol but not the Prosecco which DH bought separately, and not the turkey which I'm picking up from the butcher tomorrow and will be about another £60.00 I think. That's for 8 adults for Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and Boxing day, plus normal stuff for the 4 of us for the rest of the week.

Our usual grocery bill for 4 people is about £100 per week so this is a lot more. I'm not sure why though, it doesn't feel like we've got loads more stuff. Maybe it's because it's Ocado rater than Tesco for a change!

Ginmakesitallok · 22/12/2017 17:40

We're only doing the veggie option and pudding and we've spent about £150. But we do now have about 5 bottles of prosecco, 3 white, 4 red and a rose or 2.

mummyhaschangedhername · 22/12/2017 17:40

Too much!

Overthehillsandfaraway8 · 22/12/2017 17:45

A horrendous amount. I don't even know where it went but i have six people here for a week. We are going out twice to eat but i feel sick at how much we have spent so far already. Booze, free range turkey, stuffing, veg, several puddings cheese, cake, mince pies, bacon, salmon.cream. bread sauce, etc etc etc. I am never doing it again. I say that every year and don't get better at it.

HarryLucasMummy · 22/12/2017 17:47

For me, my two sons and their Dad (But he's working. He'll be over in the evening to give presents) £140 from Sainsburys. And I tell you what I'm glad it's over, I had to take my youngest and although the store was practically empty it was still horrendous

ImAMarshmellow · 22/12/2017 17:52

£118 including meat.

That's 5 adults and 1 child. Also have to feed a teenage locust so that's another 3 mouths to feed Grin

jennymac31 · 22/12/2017 17:53

£250 to cover Christmas eve to new years day for 2 adults, child and baby. Food shopping includes Christmas meal, alcohol as well as treats etc needed for post Christmas family get-together.

Clutterbugsmum · 22/12/2017 17:54

Don't know, as I have only bought a few more snacky bits then normal.

I have spent £60 on a 3 rib of beef for dinner but that will do us (6 christmas day and 5 on boxing day) but I will also have loads to put in the freezer for other dinners in January through March. Along with the gammon I use the leftovers for sandwich meat for next year.

ImAMarshmellow · 22/12/2017 17:54

That should last 4-5 days.

smudgedlipstick · 22/12/2017 17:56

£130 for two adults and one child, and were not even eating here Christmas Day 🤯

Arronsmissus · 22/12/2017 17:56

£260 but most of that is for the month. Not much booze but lots of store cupboard stuff. Its just the 5 of us and no guests.

Thedietstartsnow · 22/12/2017 17:56

LyannaStarktheWolfMaid · 22/12/2017 17:57

Everythingwillbeok · 22/12/2017 17:57
